Pictures on-line were fantastic showing a beautiful view, large spacious room. What a joke, talk about false advertisement!! The groom's total size was maybe 15ft long and 7 ft wide, & this was a family sweet and charging $160.00 a night. What a joke!! My closet is bigger than that. On top of that the the owner is a jerk,...

We had the pleasure of staying in this unique hotel in our way home. Norman, the manager, was extremely accommodating. The room was small but nice, other rooms are much larger and nicer. We'll stay here again for sure, next time we are in Florence.

We only stayed in Florence for one night, so it was important to find a comfy hotel near the marina, where many of the "tourist" activities are located. The Landmark missed the mark for us. It is a "no frills" hotel. The towels were thin, rough, and few. The bed was not comfortable and the hotel is up a very...

Haven't driven a driveway like this one before. Anyway, host was friendly & helpful. Good dinner recommendations. Room was simply decorated, done in early thrift style. Bed was so-so. Why inns scimp on bedding is beyond me since that is why you are there. Towels were thin and rough. Provided toiletries were the cheapest I've seen. Couch in living area...

Wanted a nice place to stay for the 4th of July - enjoyed the location, and minimalist amenities - not a 5 star by any means. The breakfast was all packaged food - this was noted by others - and yet everything was clean, working, and well taken care of. Would stay again - limited choices in the area.

Our studio room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful giving directions and information about local attractions and places to eat. The breakfast was basic: cereal, breads for toasting, sausage, OJ, milk, coffee. The grounds were well maintained. Good light for reading, a large TV with good variety of channels available, comfortable chairs. There is a spa in a...

This establishment is located at the top of a very steep driveway with a small parking area...Glad we didn't have a larger vehicle. Our room was clean but smelled a bit stale initially. Window opened which was a plus. There was a small apartment size fridge which was handy. The room was a little tight but, the drawbacks were the...

I chose the Landmark do to the glowing remarks. The room was SMALL with no A/C. Due to Global Warming, it was 49 in the morning so we left the window open. That caused noise from guests walking on the stairs to be heard. This hotel is a family run operation. It was clean and friendly.

We stayed two nights to enjoy some golf and good food. Motel has few amenities but was clean and staff was friendly. One problem was electrical outlets were hard to access with devices that need to be charged, this was a problem. Convenience and price still made it a good choice.

We have stayed in a variety of places on this trip and this is one of the better places from all aspects. It has a unique position overlooking the town and river. Full of friendly owners and staff. Not corporate and in a great location. The rooms are nice and it has a very cared for feel. If you are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Now rated #1 in Florence on one booking site, one of the "Top 3 in Florence Lodging" on another travel/review site, and top ratings on a second booking site. We have just 12 unique rooms that we built in 1998 and 2008. We sit up on a hilltop, a half-block off the main highway. We are a safe, clean and quiet inn with no bridge or highway noise. Many rooms have bay windows with views of Old Town, the sand dunes, and the river. Our rooms choices go from a cozy single queen to deluxe spa suites. The second floor has vaulted ceilings throughout. New 43" flatscreen TVs are in most rooms. Our hearty continental breakfast includes sausage links & cheeses, 6-7 flavors of bakery bagels, organic granola and organic muesli, all served on real dishes with real silverware. Free Wifi. Free private use of our guest spa building at the edge of the woods is included. We've been Green forever. You're always a winner at the Landmark Inn! We do not have an elevator. We take a deposit equal to the first night at the time of booking. It is fully refundable if cancelled prior to 48 hours before arrival, with no cancellation fee. ... more   less
