It was very nice place I recommend anyone to stay there it was very peaceful and comfortable💕 the employees are very nice and helpful and the grounds are so beautiful it was my first bed and breakfast and I enjoyed it so much I will diffently be going back there to stay when I go to visit my daughter 💕
Picked this Inn randomly and it was just perfect! Great location, comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Stayed with my husband and 2 teenage sons. Beautiful park and neighborhood within easy walking distance. Just lovely! Would highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed at the Campbell house for 4 days to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. This was our first time and in no way were we disappointed. The staff is friendly and attentive, the room was beautiful (could use a little updating),the breakfast was exquisite and the wine served each night set a very nice mood. We felt like we were in a beautiful garden during our stay and with so much to do within walking distance we rarely had to drive. We will certainly be recommending the Campbell house to friends and family as well as planning future stays there.
LOVED IT! The Campbell House is tucked away in a non-descript neighborhood in Eugene. Navigation led us right to it, and a sign pointed the way down a narrow drive that leads to the inn and a small parking lot. It might be hard to find in the dark. The grounds are lush, green everywhere, and there is plenty of outside seating. Check in was smooth and friendly. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. My daughter and I stayed in the Skinner Family Room #4. We had an attached large bathroom with the most luscious robes to be cozy in after a long chilly day touring colleges in drizzle and a hot shower. Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash are provided, and the towels are plush. Our room had a California King, two foldable luggage racks, a TV, a desk & chair, a closet with a mini fridge, and although the room was small, there was plenty of room for the two of us. Breakfast was FABULOUS. The dining room is quiet and has such a lovely view of surrounding trees and the city below (the inn is on a hill). As other reviewers described, you begin breakfast with fruit fruit and a scone and then have a choice between a “sweet” or a “savory” breakfast. My daughter chose sweet, which was a pumpkin waffle, and I chose savory, which was eggs, salmon, cream cheese, and capers. We both got bacon. It was all delicious. The coffee was plentiful and very good. It’s true that it isn’t available until 7am but that fit with our schedule. The only reason why I had to go with 4 stars was the noise. Yes, trains run through the town and whistle multiple times. I counted four trains and I woke up each time. My daughter, who is normally a light sleeper, woke at the first one but then slept through the night. She was exhausted from her day of touring. Apparently, other rooms are quieter. I wasn’t told of this at booking or check in. I would LOVE to stay here again but would likely ask for a quieter room. The rooms are close together and I also heard my neighbors leaving their room and walking down the hall in the early am. The inn is walking distance (maybe 1/4 mile at most) from Skinner Butte Trail, so hiking is immediately available without using a car. I needed to change the dates on my booking no less than twice and the representative was so lovely about it. I understand the frustration of some that there aren’t refunds, but it is my experience with small businesses that credit is highly preferable to refunds and I am happy to cooperate with that. Again, LOVELY stay and I’d stay here again, but train noise IS a consideration.…
Brent is a horrible manager, he argues with the customer and calls them abusive. He is not ok as a owner of a hotel and calls the police if you want a cancelation fee waived. He kept calling me back and still calling me abusive and then said I can't write bad reviews about it because its extortion... lol... make sure you don't have any issues with this manager, he will call the police in your home town, I live in Mississippi for petes sakes!!
Great stay. Fantastic breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms. Night clerk was a bit unprofessional. Only thing I would mark you less than excellent would be that the shower head needs replacing and non-slip mat available for the tub. Almost fell when taking a shower. Thank you for an amazing stay. Will recommend your establishment wholeheartedly. Scott and Cyndi Luoma
We stayed 2 nights mid week. Friendly staff, great room! And the wine and breakfast were exceptional! They even offered delicious gluten free scones, pancakes, waffles, and crispy bacon. I'd stay again in heartbeat! Well done!
Pros: Beautiful grounds. Very close to downtown Eugene. Property is really quaint. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great coffee. Cons: Loud AC. Breakfast was just ok. Tv's are pretty old and picture on them is not great. If you stay downstairs, you will hear your neighbors upstairs walking around and flushing the toilet.
We had a weekend getaway to Eugene area. This property was delightful!! Easy walk to Skinner Butte, the waterfront trails and the city eateries!! Friendly staff and very careful with Covid precautions. Room was sweet : history with a garden view! Plenty of parking and a Turkey in the lawn to greet us this morning!!
We loved our stay at the Campbell House Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable They served a hot breakfast in the morning- choice of sweet (pancakes with berries) or savory (breakfast sandwich). Delicious! I would highly recommend staying here.
