I planned a reunion/40th birthday girls trip here, and everything was perfect. The staff was amazing, and Brett went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The grounds were so well kept, and created a charming oasis in Eugene. Loved it, and would highly recommend.

Wonderful old bed & breakfast, The grounds are beautiful and have several sitting areas, the service was great, our room was very nice, we got a glass of wine for happy hour and breakfast was excellent! The staff was very accommodating for a late departure. The location could not be better - close to restaurants, shopping & the gorgeous river path.

Room Tip: The neighborhood is quaint, but I would stick to daytime exploring. There is a good hiking spot...

Lovely place. Great staff. Handsome old house with spacious outdoor seating areas amidst pleasant, landscaped gardens. Situated in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood. Parking was very convenient. Breakfast was served for you and was good. Would make the Campbell House Inn my first choice if I were to stay in Eugene again

I pull up the blinds and what do I see? A beautiful oak tree. Planted, standing strong and true just for me. The truth is, this wild and majestic oak just outside my window has been growing since the late 1800s when the Campbell House was built not too far from the turn of the century, possibly even earlier. And should you fancy a glass of wine while sitting under its branches, you are welcome to do just that, as wine is served on the house every evening and into the night. Perhaps a Chardonnay, or a nice Pinot Noir from Chateau Sainte Michelle of the Columbia Valley. The selection will vary from one night to another, which makes your stay all the more colorful. So, there you are, with a glass of wine, the wind rustling the leaves and your hair. Maybe you take the hand of your partner, as you look up at the moon in the sky. Maybe you are there on your own? Nay, it’s you, the moon, and the endless stars in the sky. Looking up you take a sip. It’s a magical night at the Campbell House. Eventually your eyes grow tired, and you think about heading up to bed. But to which room will you retire? Have you chosen the Cogs Room, the Phillip Suite, the Inga? Ah, the rooms, don’t even get me started. There are many to choose from. I am in the Cogs room as I write, gazing out the window on Old Oak Tree while the warm summer breeze comes in. The lovely people who work at the Campbell House will make you feel like a special guest, looked after and well taken care of. There’s Belle, soft spoken and lovely like her name, who will greet you and hand you your keys. Brett is the Manager and the Head Chef. Tracy and Shamus play various roles, and they are both wonderful and kind. Everyone’s name I haven’t caught, of course. But I digress. Back to the rooms. There are many to choose from, and they are all unique with different views and charms. Some have jetted tubs good for a soak after a long day of travel. Some have fireplaces if you want to cozy up in the winter months. And some have views that make you just not want to leave. So it’s up to you. What’s your pleasure? What’s your fancy? I’ll warn you, it will be hard to choose. If you choose a room in the main house, you’ll need to come back in through the main door, making your way along the path through the English Garden, past the trickling fountain, you’ll unlock the door and step inside. Glancing over through the parlor with the big picture window, soft tunes from the 1920s play in the background as you’re whisked back in time. But sleep beckons you, and you make your way up the stairs. In whichever room you spend the night, you are sure to rest soundly, as the mattresses could have very well been made in heaven. And you will rise refreshed and restored, ready to take on a new day full of adventure. But wait, not before one of the most delicious breakfasts you will ever have. Decadent waffles with fruit and pistachio cream, an egg scramble with local mushrooms and sausage. Raisin or chocolate chip scones made from scratch, the dough kneaded by loving and well-worn hands. And with a head chef whose background includes a season with Charlie Trotters, you know the menu is brought to life with vibrant colors and flavors that delight. And if basking in the beauty and relishing the respite at the Campbell House Inn weren’t enough, bear in mind that you are a stone’s throw away from Fifth Street Public Market, and a hop, skip, and jump away from the Owen Rose Gardens. And those are only two on the list of myriad things to do and see. And don’t forget about lunch and dinner. It’s only a short stroll down the hill to some quaint shops, restaurants, and cafes. If you thought choosing was a challenge already, it definitely will be now. So, when you decide to come and stay at the Campbell House Inn for however many nights you book, I have an inkling you’ll want to stay just one more.

My husband and I stayed at the Campbell house for 4 days to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. This was our first time and in no way were we disappointed. The staff is friendly and attentive, the room was beautiful (could use a little updating),the breakfast was exquisite and the wine served each night set a very nice mood. We felt like we were in a beautiful garden during our stay and with so much to do within walking distance we rarely had to drive. We will certainly be recommending the Campbell house to friends and family as well as planning future stays there.

LOVED IT! The Campbell House is tucked away in a non-descript neighborhood in Eugene. Navigation led us right to it, and a sign pointed the way down a narrow drive that leads to the inn and a small parking lot. It might be hard to find in the dark. The grounds are lush, green everywhere, and there is plenty of outside seating. Check in was smooth and friendly. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. My daughter and I stayed in the Skinner Family Room #4. We had an attached large bathroom with the most luscious robes to be cozy in after a long chilly day touring colleges in drizzle and a hot shower. Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash are provided, and the towels are plush. Our room had a California King, two foldable luggage racks, a TV, a desk & chair, a closet with a mini fridge, and although the room was small, there was plenty of room for the two of us. Breakfast was FABULOUS. The dining room is quiet and has such a lovely view of surrounding trees and the city below (the inn is on a hill). As other reviewers described, you begin breakfast with fruit fruit and a scone and then have a choice between a “sweet” or a “savory” breakfast. My daughter chose sweet, which was a pumpkin waffle, and I chose savory, which was eggs, salmon, cream cheese, and capers. We both got bacon. It was all delicious. The coffee was plentiful and very good. It’s true that it isn’t available until 7am but that fit with our schedule. The only reason why I had to go with 4 stars was the noise. Yes, trains run through the town and whistle multiple times. I counted four trains and I woke up each time. My daughter, who is normally a light sleeper, woke at the first one but then slept through the night. She was exhausted from her day of touring. Apparently, other rooms are quieter. I wasn’t told of this at booking or check in. I would LOVE to stay here again but would likely ask for a quieter room. The rooms are close together and I also heard my neighbors leaving their room and walking down the hall in the early am. The inn is walking distance (maybe 1/4 mile at most) from Skinner Butte Trail, so hiking is immediately available without using a car. I needed to change the dates on my booking no less than twice and the representative was so lovely about it. I understand the frustration of some that there aren’t refunds, but it is my experience with small businesses that credit is highly preferable to refunds and I am happy to cooperate with that. Again, LOVELY stay and I’d stay here again, but train noise IS a consideration.

Brent is a horrible manager, he argues with the customer and calls them abusive. He is not ok as a owner of a hotel and calls the police if you want a cancelation fee waived. He kept calling me back and still calling me abusive and then said I can't write bad reviews about it because its extortion... lol... make sure you don't have any issues with this manager, he will call the police in your home town, I live in Mississippi for petes sakes!!
