We had a great stay. The rooms are not super fancy but have everything you need. Easy to access, close to many amenities, draft beer and wine available for purchase in the office, washer and dryer available, and a hot breakfast with a lot of variety. We will stay there again.
We spent a couple of nights here recently. This is an older motel that is kept up very well. Our room had been renovated recently and was very clean and on the small side. Parking is free and the free breakfast was outstanding. It was an easy walk to just about anything we wanted to see, including the U of O campus. Our only complaint is the first night of our stay we had a biker staying below us who felt it necessary to rev his very loud motorcycle repeatedly late at night. Thanks dude. Highly recommend this place.
Nicely renovated motel in the heart of Eugene. Great staff, glorious shower, nice, hot breakfast. They have a small selection of beer & wine in their welcoming lobby area, and a nice little patio where you can enjoy a drink. We loved this place!
It was okay for one night. Just seemed like a high price to pay for dumpy Eugene, Oregon. The owners were friendly and it had a great location in the middle of downtown. Not the most comfortable bed but I only stayed one night.
We stayed here to see a concert at the McDonald Theatre just down the street. We really liked the room and free breakfast. The separation between the bedroom area and bathroom area is one of the best ever. The front desk clerk was very nice. The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Eugene. We would give it 5 stars, but the bed was just a bit too firm.
WONDERFUL RETURN! We’re so happy to return to the remodeled TIMBERS MOTEL. COVID has kept us sequestered at home, along with everyone else, and we happily grabbed this opportunity to return to Eugene. The TIMBERS has done an amazing job of updating and remodeling. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is stunning. Be certain to try the overhead rain shower head 😃 HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I felt unsafe in this hotel from the minute I stepped onto the property. The door lock was minimal and I barely slept even with the heavy chair wedged up against the door. And then, there was the HAIR I found in the bed when I turned back the sheets! (wish I was joking). DO NOT STAY HERE.
The Timbers is a very basic, clean, thoughtfully remodeled classic motel in a safe part of Eugene. I would have given more stars except fo the breakfast, which is wretched. The coffee is terrible and the oatmeal is like paste. Luckily, the inn is close to a great coffee house (Dark Pines) and delicious bakery (Noisette) and Whole Foods. For some inexplicable reason they also have copies of the conspiracy-theory driven rag The Epoch Times in their lobby. Weird.
We stayed here because it was walking distance from Amtrak and our stay included hot breakfast in morning. We were very impressed with room (quiet and very well decorated), beds and shower. The hot breakfast in morning included buffet of eggs, meat and pastries. Lobby is amazing too…highly recommend.
My family stayed in this motel on a road trip to Seattle. It's in easy walking distance of some nice restaurants and ice cream. It was spacious and clean. One minor issue -- we had explicitly asked that they leave on the air conditioning (external unit) to maximize airflow in the room before we arrived (Covid precaution). They deliberately did not in order to conserve energy.
