This was an excellent place to stay, very clean large king room. Every one we talked to was great from check in to check out. One of the best parts is the free laundry service, no other hotels has had that with our travels. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
My stay was pretty much perfect at the Candlewood. At check in the front desk agent Crystal was so delightful and very helpful, she made sure to exceed our expectations, right from the start we felt very welcomed! A big shout out to Crystal for doing such a great job and being extra helpful with all our questions!!Our room was very clean and tidy, spacious and a great view from the free upgrade we received at check in. We will definitely be staying here again, when the staff is as wonderful as this experience we didn’t want to leave! Mary C.
We stayed here one night on our way up to Washington. The main reason for selecting this hotel was the $25 fee for having our dog stay with us. This was a good deal considering other chains can charge up to $100. Parking was free but we were given a parking pass that had to be displayed on our cars. The lot was shared with two other hotels. Lots of construction workers (per the front desk) and their big pickup trucks filled the lot. A small dirt parking lot was also available for overflow. We received a fairly large downstairs room with two queen beds. Lots of room for us and the dog. A desk served as a dual work or eating table. The kitchenette was small but stocked with all the essentials. If one needed to actually cook a request to the front desk had to be made for I assume a hot plate and pots or pans. Our room faced the parking lot so it was quiet. Beds were comfortable and the bath was good especially after our long drive. All the amenities were located on the first floor. The gym had both cardio and all in one weight machine squeezed together in a smallish room. The marketplace was stocked with snacks and drinks that you bring to the desk to pay. Free hot coffee was available all day. Lastly the hotel also had a nice lending wall filled with DVDs, books and games. Return after finished or just leave in the room after checking out. Location was also a good choice.…
Well-designed and organized hotel with great staff and pet friendly too. The room was designed for all-purpose stays – a kitchen, a work area, a recliner for reading. Hotel has good facilities (elevator, gym, laundry, food pantry and grubhub delivery depot) and the room furnishings are updated and comfy. Creative touches and care given to making your stay smooth and effortless. Nice parks within a 5 min drive (Hendricks park is just around the corner). I had a great stay at Candlewood Suites in Eugene-Springfield and won’t hesitate to stay here again.
First let me say that I requested a manager to call me which didn’t happen. I wanted to share areas of improvement and that our stay was below standard. Trash is parking lot - everywhere! Overflowing from trash cans. People working on cars and motorcycles in parking lot. Parking shared with 2 hotels - not sure how that will work in the busy season. People wander into lobby off the street. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready. No big deal - but couldn’t use the restroom due to someone locked themselves in there for awhile. The front desk manager just shrugged when I suggested maybe they check in on them? Turns out it was someone that was living on the street. We left and were told we’d get a phone call when room was ready which didn’t happen. Continued to wait even after check in. Trash was left on the floor on the side of the bed from previous guest (in a time of Covid deep cleaning?) Dishes were left from previous guest in dishwasher. There was no soap/shampoo in the permanent fixture in shower. Overall, this hotel just seemed uncharacteristically dirty (including lobby floors were filthy).…
We had a 4th floor corner suite with a nice view of the Willamette River. The spacious and comfortable suite was very pleasant, featuring a king bed, a recliner, a sofa, desk, entertainment center, large full bath, and an excellent kitchen area fully stocked with cooktop, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, and all the dishes, drinkware, and flatware one would need for a temporary stay. Our compliments to the check-in desk clerk who went above & beyond to try to solve a television problem. While it remained unresolved, leaving us without use of the TV for any purpose (not even playing DVDs), she tried her best. The firmness of the bed was not to our liking, but such things are quite subjective. Room cleanliness was excellent. We appreciated the sanitizing of all surfaces and all kitchen equipment, serveware, dishware, flatware, etc. All food related items were run through the dishwasher prior to our arrival, and remained there instead of put out in the cupboards. There were some soiled areas in the couch upholstery, and the recliner had a bit of seam separation. Bedding and linens were very nice, the towels fluffy and absorbent, the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers nicely filled. One Hint: the ice maker can be turned on or off. You'll need to turn it off before bedtime.…
We stayed here one night on the way home from southern Oregon to Bellingham WA. The hotel is conveniently located near I-5 and for a small upcharge, you can have a lovely view of the Williamette River. In the morning, the fog rolled across the river and it was very pretty. Our room had 2-Queen beds and was very comfortable with firm beds and very good pillows. The towels were nice and thick. The suite is very suited for families/couples who want to eat in as it included a 2 burner cooktop, a full-size refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchen drawers well stocked with dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, glasses and cookware. There is no breakfast offered since the room has a kitchenette. Light sleepers may find that the road noise on the river side of the hotel is quite noticeable, even on the top floor. Also, we had to (carefully) put our luggage on the long desk since luggage racks aren't available at the hotel.…
We stayed here only for 1 night - we wished we could have stayed longer. The room is immaculate - spacious, cozy, and comfortable. It's conveniently located right next to I-5. They don't serve any breakfast - however, coffee is available. Highly recommended!
The hotel has great rooms. The room was much larger than I anticipated, and the desk-like central area with chairs instead of a dresser was a much welcome unique feature. The bathroom was spacious and the wall unit gets super cold, which is how I like it. One of the best things was that the pillow are not flat. They actually have some substance to them and are comfortable for your head. The only thing that is kind of a downside, which has nothing to do with the hotel itself, is that this location is located in an industrial area. So there really isn't anything near you if you want to go out to get a bite to eat. You either have to go back to the Denny's at the freeway entrance, or you have to drive over toward the college on the other side of the river. Guests were required to wear masks in public spaces, however on more than one occasion, the staff at the front desk were not wearing them. Personally, I don't care because the whole mask thing is stupid. But if you're going to make your patrons wear masks, you should probably practice what you preach by making sure your staff does it too. The rooms come with Blu-ray players, which was nice because the front desk has an adequate library with movies to chose from. It was a nice way to round out the evening by picking a free movie to watch before bed.…
We stayed here after riding our motorcycle all day. At first, when we saw the front door was broken, the elevator floor needed vacuuming, the hallway needed vacuuming, we weren’t expecting much for the room. Boy were we surprised. The room is quite spacious, very clean and very comfortable. We ordered pizza and used real plates and some silverware. I was able to put water in a pitcher and get it cold in the full size refrigerator. We would definitely stay here again.
