This hotel is close to the airport , college stadium, shopping and restaurants. Also close to the trail that runs along the river. The room was clean and spacious and breakfast was good. Front desk personnel were all nice and helpful. They bedding was comfortable.
Such a surprise in this era of travel challenges and disappointments to find such a well-run and well-maintained hotel. From the sparkling pool to the pristine room to the skillful hospitality of the staff, it stands out. The front desk people were a delight to interact with and the housekeeping staff is clearly top-notch. Also, none of the middle of the night noise issues I've encountered lately at various (usually Courtyard) Marriott properties. This hotel is a home run. I will be visiting again soon.
Michael models exemplary customer service for his Team. We received 5-Star level service from him and witnessed other guests being treated exceptionally as well. Choose this hotel for the lovely outdoor pool, for on-site laundry and walkability (you don’t have to get in your car for food/fun!) and come again for Michael and his staff.
8/13/22 We stayed for the first time at the Residence Inn Eugene Springfield, a Marriott company property. We were here for several evenings. I'm writing to compliment the hotel and especially the front desk manager, Michael Roussel. He has been personable, kind and professional at every turn of our encounters. I've seen how he treats his guests at the front desk counter and in his exchanges as he walks in the dining area to answer questions or take care of issues. Michael Roussel could not do enough for us. He helped us at check in with a room that would not work for us (construction noise directly overhead) and went out of his way for me when I had questions about how to find something in the area. There were other helpful exchanges. We have traveled quite a bit and most often we stay at Marriott properties. The Residence Inn / long stay properties are great for families or for those who wish a kitchen and living room and just a bit more room. This property is fortunate to have such an invested, caring and professional employee as Mr. Roussel. Well done.…
Michael at the front desk greeted us by name every time we left or arrived. His local suggestions were spot on. He should be commended for his exceptional customer service. It was great to have a 2 bedroom suite so our teen could have his own space. My only suggestions are to mark the entrance as we drove around the building looking for the lobby and more items like muffins and fruit for a grab and go breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Not a lot I can saw about this property, as I didn't arrive until 8:00PM, and left at 04:30AM for my flight, but what I can say is this... I'm am the Snobbiest of Status Snobs. I like to be recognized for my 30 years commitment to a Brand, and of all the High End Renaissance, Westin and Full Service Marriott's I've stayed at, this sleepy little Residence Inn in Eugene made me feel like I was the most Important Guest who had ever graced their door. Upon my arrival, I introduced myself, and the clerk Immediately said "Mr. G, we've been waiting for you. There was a Hand Written Card in my Goodie Bag (not a canned pre-printed card, but a real hand written note) thanking me for my loyalty as a Marriott Ambassador. The only thing missing was a Confetti Cannon. I had pre-ordered Delivery of dinner, and let him know I'd come down. 10 minutes later, the same welcoming clerk knocked on my door with my Chipotle order. The property itself is one of the mid-build style Residence Inns. All floors accessible via Inside Hallways. None of that outdoor stairs to a 2nd Floor, where anyone could access you room unannounced. It wasn't the most current furnishings and fixtures you see in some newer RI Properties, but it was immaculately clean and in Perfect Repair. I had been upgraded to a two bedroom suite complete with the Gas Fireplace, which I did turn on while eating my Chipotle. Only wish I had been staying with them for the whole week. I'm hopeful the property leadership reads this and gives a Special Thanks to the young man who was so Welcoming upon my arrival on 01/20/2022. Five Stars!…
If you are greeted at check-in by Michael on the front desk, you will know immediately how excellent your stay is going to be. He is courteous, professional and fully explains all there is you’ll need to know about this really fantastic RI. The fitness room is by appointment, but there are free weights. The outdoor pool and Jacuzzi looked mighty inviting and people were really enjoying it. Breakfast is excellent, with scrambled eggs, sausage, the world’s best bacon, breads, bagels, yogurts and bananas. Self-serve coffee in the lobby just before the 6:30 a.m. start of breakfast. Grounds are beautiful and well-kept, hallways are spotless. We had the 2-Bedroom (one King, one Queen)/2-Bath Suite (tubs in both), with screened windows that open for a breeze. Thanks again, Michael. GM Colleen, a very good show indeed!…
The hotel is AMAZING and the staff is even better! Michael at the front desk will take care of anything and he does it with a smile. The manager Colleen is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and you can tell her staff follows her leadership. The Residence Inn in Eugene will now be our #1 place to stay while in the area. Thank you for making our stay such a great one!
My daughter and I and my sister and her family stayed here for the Olympic trials. The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond in all ways. Marcus even included a hand written note for my son who was competing in the trials wishing him luck from the staff. There was always a fresh supply of cold water bottles because it extremely hot while we were there, the rooms were always cleaned with fresh linens and towels and everyone was incredibly friendly. The location is great with very easy access to like trails and restaurants. I highly recommend this place.
The Residence Inn Eugene/Springfield was very nice. It was spotlessly clean (thank you housekeeping). The employees at reception were fine. My only complaint is I really think they could have provided a better breakfast. We had stayed in seven different Marriott properties on this trip - both in Oregon and Northern California. California has much tighter covid restrictions but they managed to give their Marriott Titanium members great breakfasts. So I felt the ridiculous offering they had was a cop out.
