I've never stayed in a hostel & had no idea what to expect. However, I am working to better myself & experience wonderful new things, so I did it. I had incredible conversations with a brand new mixed bag of great folks. Initially my social anxiety/awkwardness threw me BUT the hosts were awesome, I met amazing people, the impromptu music by the fire was crazy good, best nights sleep I've had in a very long while. I highly recommend!
This hostel was absolutely lovely. It's comfortable, clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable, and it was easy to get a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend it for anyone traveling through, and I definitely will go back in the future.
I loved this hostel! It is conveniently located in Eugene close to the university but in a fairly quiet neighborhood. The overall feel is cozy and welcoming, and it has so much character! The room was clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The people who run it are very nice as well. 10/10 would recommend!
Dig this cozy spot. The owner is a chill, professional guy who runs the place quite well. Good conversation from other folks there. Owner and employees offer great recommendations for local eats, brews, and attractions. 10/10 will visit again.
I am 63 yrs. old this was the very first experience being in a hostel. I am conservative and this was definitely outside the box for me. it was a fantastic experience. I am a stickler for clean. The hostel was clean, from bathrooms, kitchen to beds in the dorms. The beds are comfortable. Sunday is potluck day. There is also free breakfast cereals, oatmeal and for a buck coffee. There is no T.V. here which makes it better to associate with the people. I've met people from Germany, Switzerland, India, and from all over the USA. You get to know the people and the staff. Everyone is like family. There are both a piano and organ to play as well as records. The neighborhood is quiet and the people walking by are very friendly and will strike up a conversation with you, it's also safe in the neighborhood as well in the hostel. The houses in the neighborhood are turn of the century, the old part of Eugene in the Whiteaker district. The prices are reasonable too. Nearby there are cafe's, restaurants, health food grocery stores, and regular grocery stores too. The river is nearby and you can rent a bike here at the hostel. For a big city Eugene, Oregon is unique. There are many cultural things to do here from music in the park to festivals, plays, and more. I spent 8 days here and it was a wonderful experience. I would do it again.…
