The location is fabulous, and the staff friendly, but like other reviewers have said, the place is run down. The motel rooms have seen better days in the 60's and the lodge probably has beer stains from the 50s on the carpet. Our room was as clean as it could be considering the ancient furniture and tired decor. The bathroom...

The beds were hard. The floors were slanted. We had to sleep at the foot of the bed the second night because the head of the bed was a good 3 inches lower than the foot of the bed. The couch had a whole in it. The furniture looked like it had been bought in the ghettos. I wish we...

The Diamond Lake Resort reminded me of places I stayed as a kid in the 1960's. Since I couldn't get a room at the Crater Lake Lodge, the proximity to Crater Lake was the draw for me to book here. We were in a motel room that was rundown but clean, however there was no door to the bathroom. The...

We got this reservation through the national park service when Crater Lake Lodge as full. We paid $99 for a motel room that resembled an older cabin inside. We thought It was adequate for one night....until we saw a swarm of two kinds of ants on the floor and bedding at night. It was too late to change rooms so...

We stayed two nights in Cabin 35 of the Vintage Cabins. Our experience was less than desirable. Upon entering the cabin we found a pair of dirty underwear on the floor. The windows and sills were extremely covered in dust. The window frames were falling apart. The kitchen floor sloped down so the refrigerator door would swing open. Both bathrooms...

I originally wanted to stay at Crater Lake Lodge but they were booked so the reservation department suggested this resort. I failed to research it before hand and we were stuck in an old run down motel. The rooms are small and poorly maintained. The carpet was coming up and paint peeling off the walls. The mattress was old and...

My family has stayed in a number of rustic cabins and lodges around the northwest. The cabins at Diamond Lake Resort are not what I would call rustic -- they're just beat-up and rundown. We were in a lakefront cabin (a double-decker). The only saving grace was the amazing view of the lake just steps from our door. The setting...

We were looking for a mid week get away somewhere within a couple hours from home and we decided to stay at the Diamond Lake Resort Motel. I read some poor reviews on a couple of pages about the resort but they seemed to be all written by the same party. Last year we rode through there after visiting Crater...

We wanted to see Crater Lake and there was no other place to stay but at this place. We got one of the motel style rooms. It was not so dirty that a person would be afraid to touch anything, but it wasn't clean either. The room was very rundown. The airconditioner was so noisy we decided to get by...

I stayed here with a couple of friends for two nights and I would have rather slept outside. It should have been no more than $50-$60/night but we paid $100/night. It was dirty, had bugs, pretty sure our door didn't even lock, and the service sucked. Do yourself a favor and pay more staying at a better place.
