To put it simply Breitenbush Hot Springs feeds my soul. This was my third visit to this charming hideaway outside Detroit OR. The vegetarian meals are truly outstanding, I'm not even a vegetarian! Hot Spring pools, yoga, meditation and the quality of the service was exceptional. Totally off the grid and up a private mountain road to to an experience...

We were only here for 24 hours, but we had a great trip. It says clothing optional, but every person was completely naked, so if you're not OK with that, maybe reconsider. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was very mellow, nestled very unobtrusively in concert with nature. Would definitely recommend for couples, singles, families if you're comfortable all being nude.

Brietenbush Hot Springs is run by a co-op community with values of stewardship and respect for natural resources resonate through the culture and the vibe of this unique, rustic location. Natural hot springs have been captured in a variety of pools that are cleaned while soakers enjoy three hearty, vegetarian meals a day. As a carnivore, I genuinely enjoy the...

You will not regret coming here. Unless you're really uptight! It's a very relaxing vibe. Yes people are nude in the soaking tubs. But it's much less of a "thing" than you would think. It's more of a practicality of moving around to different tubs, and enjoying the natural setting with a natural feeling (nakedness rather than feeling fabrics and...

My only comment is this place is not for everyone. Make sure you know why you want to come and you will abide the strict rules set by the management. Then you can make a decision. This is not a place for tourists and the like.

I have always wanted to go to Breitenbush Hot Springs since I read such great reviews about this place. The hot springs were great and my husband and I really enjoyed it. The stay includes your meal and I was really looking forward to it but I did not enjoy the meals. It is all vegetarian (which is OK with...

OK, first off, you have to know what to expect, this isn't necessarily for everyone but if it's for you, you're in luck! I've visited twice, first time for a retreat and the second time for a couples getaway. It's a peek into communal living and lots of naked hot-tubbing so may not be everyone's cup of tea. That said,...

The first thing you need to understand is that this place is owned by 40 residents who do their best to keep it enticing for guests, despite the capital costs in maintaining water systems, sewer lines, geothermal heat, old cabins, hot tubs and much more. They have reasonable prices compared to other retreat spots. They've kept up the critical stuff....

I just spent two glorious days on a personal retreat at Breitenbush. The river and the springs offer excellent rejuvenating and healing opportunities. The food is wonderful. The people on staff and visitors are warm, hospitable, and intelligent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay! The pools are cleaned three times a day and the grounds are pristine. The food is hot and miss but we were prepared for that and brought some of our own food. I think the cabins with bathrooms are WAY over priced. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.we will be back.
