After traveling through Eastern Oregon, and staying at various other parks from Bend to Dayville, we decided to give this park a night before going home. We were surprised at the rate for basically electrical hookups with almost non-existent WiFi, water tank fill ups, and extra charges for dumping the nasty bits. The people were friendly enough but still not...

This is a beautiful location, grounds are well tended, and staff is friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were neat, clean, and toasty warm. It is a private campground. I've stayed here before ... before it was sold to Highway West Vacations. As nice as the staff is, I get the feeling that the corporation is more interested in profit than customer...

Our first stay at Shelter Cove and we will be back! Our first impression was with Christopher when making our reservation over the phone. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and patient answering all of my questions. The same at check in when we arrived - he was just as cheerful! We stayed in Cabin A which is nearest the office/store....

My husband and I took a side trip off Oregon Route/Hwy 58 on a Sunday afternoon. We saw a resort sign along Hwy 58 and decided to check it out. We found the resort about 2 miles down FM-5810. There were cabins, campsites, a small store and small marina. The resort was quaint and lake was beautiful. We did stay...

We spent 3 nights in a 33' class A in RV spot #40. Big space, this space was not very level but there was decent room between sites. Only 30amp outlet. No sewer at sites. Shared water spicket with hose about 100' away from each site used to top off tanks. Dump station available on the way out for $10....

Came up for a guys getaway with 6 buddies. Spent the weekend at Shelter Cove and now understand why its so hard to get a reservation. Stayed in the lodge, wonderful . everything we needed for preparing meals. nice campfire area in front. We rented a boat (brand new) at the park and fished, catching 120 fish in 2 days,...

But still the most beautiful lake on this earth. This was a nostalgic trip. We use to go to Trapper Creek campground, down the road, as some friends of the family owned Shelter cove in the 60's. Fishing was different, and there were as many people then. I had a tough time this trip fishing for white fish and rainbows,...

We stayed at Shelter Cove Resort for several days this winter and had a wonderful time. Our cabin was very small (studio style), but very well furnished - flat screen TV, WiFi, comfortable bed, full kitchen. Not my style of "camping," but my partner really enjoyed it. The cabin was right on the lake and had its own private dock...
