This is a charming, one-of-a-kind motel near the ocean. It is older, but it is evident that the ownership is upgrading it little by little. Our room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette, complete with dishes and pots and pans, is a useful feature for budget travelers like us! Service was great. When we checked in, the person at the...

I was looking for an out of the way place to spend 5 days with my dogs. This motel was 20 minutes from everything, including the coast. It was very old, the doorknob stuck every time I tried to open it and then it swung open so my dog raced out and was stuck in the woods for half an...

I'm sorry that you feel like this was not a good stay for you. First off the room you were has a brand new door knob. I'm sorry if you were having issues with our door. Also those are new curtains as well, If you had an issue we recommend in the future that you come to the office and...

This is an excellent place to stay if you are interested in crabbing and clamming. They have everything you need: the crabbing and clamming tools, the tips, the cooking utilities. Jessy even provided my family a guided clamming tour and showed us how to prepare the butter clams for BBQ. My kids had lots of fun in this place.

This is one of the greatest places to go for a fun coastal trip. The staff are more than helpful to supply necessities to clam and crab. The housing is set up to meet any need that you may have. There is motel, cabin and a duplex to adjust to any number of people in your party. We have stayed...

I am at the Plainview Motel at this moment. I don't understand the negative reviews. I have been told that competitors sometimes have their friends write bad reviews about other motels. Each time I come to Plainview things get better. The murals make this place a visual treasure. Their is place like this anywhere. The artist "Sketch" was painting while...

I'm not sure what buddies of the owners were writing in excellent reviews. Good to great reviews are simply not true. We reserved two nights but only stayed one. If we hadn't arrived so late (after midnight), we would have stayed at all. Nasty, nasty, nasty!!! Cat pee & mold smell with mold in the shower. I wore some white...
