I expected some type of cabin from the picture on their website, so was happily surprised with the Craftsman interior and Stickley-style furniture. No TV or phone in the rooms to interfere with the peaceful tranquility of the grounds filled with flowers and greenery and dotted with ponds and waterfalls. Breakfasts at B&Bs are usually good, but this was really...

From the moment of our arrival until the morning of our departure, we were happy to be at Brookside. The room was clean and quiet. The grounds are spacious, rural, full of woods and berries, with a few paths to wander. The location is central to most of the wineries and all of the towns in the Willamette Valley. The...

We had a lovely time last weekend during our stay at Brookside Inn. We both work in the high-tech industry with very demanding jobs and this was a chance to get away from it all. The B&B is located in a gorgeous and serene location in Carlton, Oregon, the heart of Oregon wine country. The service was wonderful and the...

The owner's have thought of everything here and their attention to detail is impressive. The breakfast is exceptional and the hosts charming and knowledgeable in making sure you make the most of the beautiful area. This is a grown up location and ideal for a retreat with a wine focus!

My wife and I were traveling from NY and had no idea about the area but stumbled upon the Brookside Inn. As we pulled up we knew we made a good choice as the grounds are magnificent. The owners Bruce and Sue are very warm hosts and have tons of knowledge about the area which made the stay even that...

My husband and I are still talking about what a wonderful experience we had at Brookside Inn. The property was so beautiful, I must have taken 75 pictures around the Inn alone, not to mention the gorgeous hills and wineries in the immediate area. Susan and Bruce are some of the sweetest people, we actually left feeling more like friends...

I have never been hugged by an innkeeper but was not really surprised by Sue's (organizer extraordinaire) departing hug after spending two comfortable nights at Brookside. Scone reviews are right on as well as breakfast commentary. Bruce loves the cooking and it shows in his morning wake-up. These two are certainly committed to their dream and I hope they continue...

My husband and I stayed at the Brookside Inn for our 30th anniversary and loved every moment. Even with the rainy weather we had a delightful time. The grounds of the Inn are remarkable. Flowers, streams, rolling hiils- really beautiful. Our room was in the main house but was very private and comfortable. The host's, Bruce and Susan, were very...

For over a month, we looked forward to Valentine's Dinner 2010 and spending the night at the Brookside Inn. At dinner, the wine and service was delightful. However the food was at best mediocre. At our table of three couples, no one took more than a taste of the wild mushroom soup. Prior to serving the soup we were told...

At The Brookside Inn we take our guests comments very seriously and take pride in resolving any issue when they occur. In this case we were not made aware of any issues in the review (nor his dissatisfaction with the price) until the guest was checking out. This precluded explaining the dual control – temperature and pressure – showers controls....

The Brookside is quite nice and located on a beautiful property and the host/owners are great. We really enjoyed the craftsman style and the large airy greatroom. Our room was relatively austere for a B&B or small inn as compared to the 50+ I've mostly enjoyed over the past 35 years or so. However the king bed was wonderful and...
