We stayed here for 2 nights when we were evacuated from our home due to the South Obenchain fire. It felt like a calm oasis after what we'd been through. The staff was incredibly kind and empathetic to our situation (they had many fire evacuees); the room was spotless, beds and pillows very clean and comfortable; they are pet-friendly; the free breakfast was excellent. The hotel is next to a fully stocked, huge truck stop and market, which has incidentals, snacks, booze (yay), some fresh produce, dairy, hot and cold deli items. We went across the road to the Seven Feathers casino for one meal, but otherwise ate from food we'd bought at the truck stop. I recommend this place. No complaints at all! Thank you for taking good care of us.
Good little hotel, their are a few restaurants nearby and several about 10 minutes up the highway. Due to Covid we couldn't use the pool or breakfast or workout area. The wifi seemed decent and the beds were ok. My huge problem was that the room they gave absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke and I almost asked for another room just based upon this alone. Other than that I would stay again in a non smoke smelling room.
We make a point of staying here on our way to California. Really nice pet friendly Suites and areas to walk around outside. Rooms are sparkling clean and Covid safe. We recommend it for anyone driving this way.
I would like to compliment all the staff at this Holiday Inn Express: front desk greeters , breakfast gal, cleaning people, and manager. Not one complaint. Enjoyed our stay in spite of it being cut a day short. We used the handy casino shuttle more than once. I stay at many hotel chains and especially enjoyed these new changes at this location: points for opting out of daily room cleaning, individually wrapped apples and slices of bread for breakfast & veggie options, a dark wash rag for make up removal, ( small things but nice). Thank you for making our stay relaxing...we needed it!
This hotel has paper thin walls, very hard to sleep, have been to mucy nicer Holiday Inn hotels, room was a little dated and depressing. The people that you meet are nice but always someone smoking outside on the way to your car. Very hillbillyish vibe.
