A delightful small country house hotel. We were in a party of 10 friends and we were all made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff we met were very pleasant and appeared to be genuinely keen to help us. We were on half-board terms therefore ate in the restaurant each evening. The food was good...

I have used the Grange at Oborne as a conference venue on 3 occasions recently and each time they have been very accommodating. The rates are very good and we have found the service to be very good. The Grange is set in very tranquil surroundings and has proven to be the perfect backdrop for conferencing and brain storming in...

We booked 3 nights in a "superior" room at this Hotel near Sherborne. We arrived to a warm welcome and were taken to our room. The room itself was old fashioned, rather dark and the double sleigh style bed was not very comfortable with sheets and blankets rather than a duvet. The armchairs were tucked in an alcove by the...

We had a great stay at The Grange. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Breakfast was delicious and our room was a great size. Would definitely go back and we really enjoyed exploring Sherborne and the walks nearby. We felt it was great value for money and had a throughly enjoyable stay

Spent 3 nights at the Grange on business in a fabulous room. Great views of the garden and a nice sunny terrace to take in the air. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Nice quaint touches like the weather card under the door each morning add to the charm. Food is good, although the menu is a bit more...

I think this was our fourth visit. You are recognised and welcomed back as an old friend. We had a little concern that since out previous visit the chef had changed but, no problem, the menu is subtly rather than radically altered and the wine list is hardly changed. The interior especially the lounge has been refurbished, sweeping away the...

Chose the hotel for its "out of town" location and the reputation of the dining experience. Our friendly reception made a good impression and the 2nd floor room gave superb countryside views, albeit that there is no lift. Usual facilities are available and the room was fairly newly-decorated and spotlessly clean. Chose to dine at the hotel - although it...

Lovely setting in charming grounds, a hotel with real character. Provided a comfortable stylish room with excellent amenities The food is outstanding, uses fresh local produce to create meals which are excellent and great value. The breakfast was magnificent, everything that should be hot was very much so

The lunch party for my mother's birthday was so well organised by Jonathan and his colleagues and family at the hotel, with delicious food beautifully presented for 50 or so guests, and thoughtful, helpful ideas and service to make everything go well. Several family stayed at the hotel too, and we were so pleased at the standard of our well...
