My room, #120, (2 Double Beds) was clean and tidy. It's the perfect alternative to camping, which I'm not a fan of. Don't expect fancy or charming. Very plain and simple. It's in a beautiful part of Ohio. There is an old part of town nearby and there are often festivals and such in Loudonville. The front desk lady was very, very nice. You're really near camping at Mohican State Park. There is an Advanced Auto Parts and a well-stocked Family Dollar within very easy walking distance. In front of the hotel, there is a bike path and a pretty view of hills. Nearest Walmart is about 30 minutes away. Things You Need To Know. 1. The towels are small, I'd advise bringing your own. 2. The wifi is very weak. There is a MacDonald's nearby (driving distance 10 minutes tops) if you need a better signal. 3. I have T-Mobile and could not get a signal. But my friends who have Verizon could. 4. Try to get a room away from the lobby as the ice machine is REALLY loud! 5. You have two doors. One heads directly outside, the other goes to a center hallway that connects the rooms and the lobby. So make sure you dead bolt both doors before you go to bed. 6. There are not a lot of outlets. They had a power strip behind the fridge and 2 outlets by the sink. I could plug in 4 things as long as my plugs fit. 7. They have a small fridge, TV and microwave. Unlike Las Vegas, they don't charge you to use the fridge! 8. There is a washer and dryer on site near the ice machine. I don't know how much it is to use them. 9. They have a pop machine. No food of the vending type. But there is that Family Dollar! 10. The breakfast is very simple: cereals, bread, bagels and regular coffee. You heat up water for tea in the microwave. Very minimalist. The coffee isn't fabulous but it woke me up. But remember that Family Dollar next door! 11. If I had had room in my friends' car for more junk and wasn't going to join serious camping coffee fiends later in the morning, I would have brought a 4 cup coffee maker and had my own coffee. 12. At night, there are no reflectors by the driveway entrance so you may shoot right by it. Also the sign is back from the road and not lit. This is out in he country so no blazing lights! 13. My room was to the back of the hotel, so it was quiet. 14. the room got cool quickly because it was really hot when I was there. One day was 87! As I said, it ain't the Ritz but it was comfy and I didn't have to sleep in a darn tent. Yippee!!!

The best part about this spot is probably its convenient location – close to Mohican State Park and a number of canoe and kayak rentals on the river. There is a nice amish deli-style store a short walk south of the motel but it doesn’t open until 9. Our two rooms were clean but reeked of cheap cloying air freshener which hit all 3 of us the minute we opened the doors, which made us wonder what they were trying to mask. We opened both the outside and inside doors to try to rid the room of the odor. The other odd thing - which may well be related to the odor issue - was that the carpet felt damp underfoot. A noisy fan was running all day and night out in the hall and it looked like - from the staining trail on the carpet - that the ice machine in the hall must have malfunctioned and flooded the hallway. Breakfast was pretty standard- dried cereal, instant oatmeal, milk, juice, coffee, tea, packaged quick-stop pastries - no eggs, meat or pancakes.

i booked 5 rooms 2 months in advance. came time to check in and no one was in the office I had to call and call and then send text. when i finally got in touch with the manager i was told "she was out shopping for a friend and she would be back when she got back," the manager was very rude with mulitple guest from the party we wound up getting a cable at the camp ground next door i would not waste your time or money trying to stay here as you never know if your going to be able to check in. go else where and save the trouble.

When pulling in, it didn't seem likeable. Kindy creepy. The room was decent. Clean. Had fridge, tv and microwave. Very quiet. Had indoor hallway to get to breakfast without going outside that was nice. Had ice machine and vending machine. My only problem was the shower head. It needed a deep cleaning.

Close to Mohican State Park & Forest, the is a great place to stay. There are only 20 rooms, so you should book in advance if you want a room during peak season May-August. Our room was clean and had all the amenities you would expect. We had a non-smoking room with 2 double beds. The room had a front door from the parking lot and a back door into the hallway (between the 2 rows of 10-rooms), which leads down to the lobby. Our room included flat screen t.v., microwave, refrigerator, and good wifi connection. The room was clean with plenty of fresh towels. Soap and shampoo were provided. Free continental breakfast is served 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., which included 5 cold cereal choices, instant oatmeal, pastries, donuts, bagels, granola bars, bananas, milk, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. At breakfast, we talked with the woman who runs the motel for the owner. She is very friendly, pleasant, and helpful.
