We stayed in one of their village waterfront executive spa rooms and the peaceful view over the wharf and harbour at Strahan is amazing. The room was large and had all the facilities but would benefit from a full refurbishment. Access via external stairs is not ideal but a small price to pay for the idyllic setting.

My wife and I were to only stay one night here but it was so peaceful and nice we stayed two nights. We had a room on the hill behind the restaurant block so had no view but the room itself was very large and well appointed and best of all quiet. The restaurant has stunning views over the harbour...

We had a little cottage in the main street which was very adequate. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the shower lovely and hot, and we could walk to the restaurants and cruises. A continental breakfast buffet was included, and you could upgrade to a full breakfast for $7.. We found the lighter breakfast quite sufficient. Staff were...

I suggest that you don't stay at Strahan Village unless you have to. Whoever owns it owns half the town and has a near-monopoly, so charges a much higher price than the hotel merits. There are two main parts to the hotel: the small lower part, right in the middle of town, where we stayed, which is convenient to activities...

We stayed in this village which was all managed by the same company. It was brilliant. Our room was spacious with excellent views and only steps to the local shops and eateries. It is on the esplanade across the road from the marina. Quiet town that relies on tourism as it was once a major area for logging of Huon Pine...

So the options were limited in Strahan of where to stay. This seemed like the best one as it is number one on the TripAdvisor site. Our check in was delayed twice, however rectified by getting two free drinks for the pub and the view restaurant. The rooms were okay, with everything we needed and nothing more. Good stay in...

No too happy with the room though it was clean. Nothing in the mini bar though they took my credit card to pay for anything we used. There was nothing to use. Beds were ok but the room was very cold. No electric blankets either. No toaster no bowls no plates.

Spent another enjoyable night here last week, this time in one of the less expensive rooms on the hilltop with a garden view rather than the better (in my opinion) harbour views on the other side of the building. It was quiet and comfortable, but I think with a room at a place like this, that a set top box...

We stayed in a village waterfront terrace, and it was pretty ordinary. Cramped bathroom, shower floor was chipped. Two very uncomfortable chairs. Crummy TV. . An imperfect re-purposing of an old building. Over-priced for the standard of accommodation. However, breakfast in the Village's restaurant, View 42 degrees, was a great experience.

We stayed 2 nights in the Sorell Wing it was a basic and clean room, I feel it could do with an upgrade and paint in the room, bathroom had 2 shower heads which wasn't necessary. I would choose a cottage pictured or a Hilltop room overlooking the village next visit.
