We stayed two nights at Motel Strahan in room 8 & had a very clean & comfortable stay. The room was really well equipped with wheelchair access (not that we needed it) or suitable for an older or infirm patron. We had a toaster, kettle, plates glasses, cutlery, mugs etc. fresh milk each day & freshly ground coffee in the...

Large queen or full size bed was helpful and accommodative. Bed had an electric sheet with three temperature settings, excellent for the region be there were a few toasty nights and mornings. Amenities included mini refridgerator, milk, cereal, toaster, hot water pot, eating utensils, digital TV, plenty of electrical outlets, near an RV park and A Youth Hostel, and about...

Situated a short easy stroll to the little township, my friend and I found this accommodation comfortable and clean. My only criticism would be the little outside area needed a good clean-up. A big thanks must go to the man at Reception who went to our room after we had checked out to see if he could see a sapphire...

We had a room with a spa bath and found an adequate array of eating utensils and crockery with the usual toaster and electric Jug. The King size bed was comfortable and offered a sound nights sleep. However, some issues regarding cleanliness were apparent in the bathroom and a peculiar and unpleasant odour was emanating from the small refrigerator. Otherwise,...

On first impression thought we must have had the wrong place as one of the more expensive locations on our Tassie holiday. The room #9, was very spacious and the bed was huge. Also a large bathroom, including a bathtub. A small courtyard off the room as well. The fridge is well stocked with treats if you are of a...

The reception was very friendly. The motel is a 15 minute walk along flat road to the quiet seafront. The room is big. We had a large comfy bed. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with all utensils for eating and drinking. There was a small outdoor sitting a ear but the table hadn't been wiped and the...

Motel Strahan is a very pleasant place to stay. The room was large and clean. There is a plant-filled private outdoor space to sit. This also doubles as a smoking area. Breakfast (with real milk) was set up in the room. 8x750ml bottles of wine were also in the room – 3 reds and 5 whites – at $25 a...

Two nights of a comfortable stay. The outside looks tired but the inside is pleasant. Comfy bed. Nice and warm. Friendly owners. Reasonable price for high season. We were lucky to book in. Easy walk to coffee and restaurants.

We booked this motel through the net.It was much further from the town centre than we were led to believe. (about 1.3 kms walk-OK if you're a spring chicken!) The host was very friendly and accommodating and the room was basic but adequate. We had to ask to have the filthy ash tray removed from out little terrace, as it...
