This review is about one of the apartments that the hotel manages; since it doesn’t have a separate review page and the dining room of the hotel. In January 2016 we stayed at the Stanley Hotel and apartments; Pol n Pen. Our cottage was the “Pol” half of the name. Since Stanley is tiny, even though the cottage is a...

We had an excellent meal. The 'bistro' is not aptly named. A bistro is a small intimate venue serving moderately priced meals. This is a typical pub restaurant being a large room filled with tables and chairs plus a bar and food at reasonably high prices. The service was good and the food was excellent. I had a Cape Grim...

We stopped and had a lovely lunch in the down stairs Bistro of this Hotel. Stairs are narrow and steep so go through the bar on the left and there are no stairs. The bistro had a good choice at a reasonable price. The staff very friendly and service was great. Meals were quick to come out and beautifully presented....

Room was great with modern bathroom, Wifi, TV, fridge, coffee making facilities and heater. Fantastic location for views over picturesque landscape. Perfect location to visit nearby The Nut plateau. The staff were lovely and great for information. Wouldn't recommend for elderly travellers or person's with mobility issues due to the number of stairwells to reach your room however I clocked...

Had a fantastic stay at the Stanley Hotel. The rooms very excellent with a modern bathroom. Had dinner in the bistro and that was also excellent. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There is a shop within the hotel which sells souvenirs and had information on local attractions. Booked online and got an excellent rate. Would thoroughly recommend...

Had dinner on a birthday trip around Tassie in May, the best weather that week--sunny everyday but chilly nights. Had a local pie and vegies while Kath had the Salmon, could not fault both meals and enjoyed a glass of red in front of the wood fire, found staff friendly and both the bar and restaurant spacious, warm and inviting.
