Lovely friendly welcome, comfortable room, a different home cooked breakfast everyday, including poached peaches to die for; and peaceful because it's set in its own grounds a few miles outside St Helens. All rooms are upstairs with en suite and we looked out over the garden. It's in a good location for exploring the Bay of Fires area but easy...

Just a short drive out of town, the accommodation is modern, quiet, with very comfortable rooms and a delicious cooked breakfast included. The hosts were very hospitable. We stayed one night, and would highly recommend this accommodation while exploring the Bay of Fires.

Stayed one night with my honey in the Magnolia room at the French House in St. Helens, Tasmania. All of the four bedrooms are on the second floor and are nearly identical with queen beds and showers. The property is a few miles outside of town in a beautiful home with lots of property. Based on the other accommodations, including...

A delightful B&B set in spacious gardens in a Georgian style house which has been upgraded with modern facilities. The upstairs rooms had great views over the property and was comfortable even though a little short on space - inevitable given the included ensuite that fitted in this older building. Our hosts were attentive to our every need and the...

Very quiet and comfortable. Friendly and helpful hosts. Great breakfast. We would have liked to stay longer but had limited time available. A few minutes drive out of town and set in beautiful gardens.

Can't thank Jan and John enough for their fantastic hospitality. From booking a table at Mohr & Smith in St Helens for us a couple of weeks before our arrival to our departure, they were both wonderful. Warm, informative and helpful. Can't recommend breakfast enough, in fact my 22 yr old son's title for his review was 'Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast!!'...

We had a lovely time at The French House. John and Jan were so accommodating and have the knack for genuine hospitality. The grounds were lovely to wander around in, a beautiful guest lounge was complete with open fire and books on local wildlife. Cooked breakfast was delicious, including rhubarb picked from the garden. Our hosts had great recommendations for...

Just the kind of a B&B you wont leave. The Franch House is 10 min drive out of town in a quiet countryside, but it is easy to find and has a lovely location and huge grounds. Our room - The Jasmine -was on the first floor with view over the garden and had the perfect size for the one...

A great find just on the outskirts of St Helens. A perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Bay of Fires. Set on 20 acres the building offers comfortable rooms, a great dining and lounge area and cooked to order breakfasts. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. A very quiet relaxing place to stay.

Service: as this is only a small B&B with 4 rooms, the hosts are able to provide a great personal service. After greeting me by name and giving me the guided tour, I was already feeling very welcome. During the rest of my short stay they were more than happy to chat about what to do in the area, where...
