The location for this place is great but this is where it ends. The decor is well past its time, the curtains are not covering the whole window front, the door lock to the balcony was broken and only had a temporary lock like you find on a garden gate. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. The bathroom...

Service was good with staff friendly, however the motel itself needs an upgrade. Stained carpet, ripped curtains, walls need a good paint and swimming pool area needs new tiling and in general a worn out motel.

Very undated. No aircon. We booked a ocean view room. And got a room down the street in alley way was noisy and very old. Then overheard lady at reception booking same room for $20 less then what we paid. Overall very disappointing

This hotel is situated in a great central location, plus most units have water views. We arrived on a sweltering hot day, and booked a room upstairs. The reception and room are lovely and clean - a tad dated but that's not a problem at all. I happen to overhear the receptionist tell other clients that they don't have air...

The first room smelled bad. They upgraded us for extra $20 to poolside room. The sign says pool closes at 9:00 p.m., but it's a pool party when the bar closes. We went to front desk to complain but it was closed. Maybe they were partying in the pool? We slept in the car. Worst night of our Tasmania trip

Fantastic outlook from our room. Central to town. Amenities are poor and need upgrading. Beds are comfortable. No air-conditioning but has heating. Very basic hotel. Stay for the view only. Staff friendly.

The room was very old especially the carpet. Although it's in a very good spot, near Bay of Fires, the view of the ocean from the room, right in the middle of everything in St.Helens. just ok to use as a one night rest but not a quote pleasant stay compare to the price.

The front of house staff were very welcoming and helpful. Swapping our two rooms to be adjoining. The rooms themselves are in dire need of renovations. I realize this is budget accommodation, but even the curtains are barely covering the windows. The appliances are noisy, the toilet in one of our rooms continued to flush ( we turned it off...

Staff good, sadly about the only good think about here, I have stayed before in water view room was ok this time was street view and it was just BAD.... Room was so hot, NO air-conditioning, no fans... had to ask for one then only got a small one, curtains faded and falling off hooks, carpet lifting, no wardrobes but...

Hotel Motel in good location in St Helens town centre with water views. However appearance reminded me of a 1970's time warp. Badly needs maintenance and upgrading. Fair value at $135 and $10 for breakfast. Ask for a room with water views as rooms overlooking road are hot and noisy. Staff were helpful and beer cold in the bar downstairs.
