The accommodation is okay and the staff that checked us in were friendly and helpful but in Scamander there is really only one place to eat and that is downstairs in the hotel bistro. We ordered the fish of the day (flathead) expecting it to be fresh, well I have thawed out frozen fish from my freezer that was 6...

Definitely 2 to 3 ⭐️. Such a lovely position however it's time for a major revamp and clean up. Still locked in the 70's. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was very basic. It was great to have an elevator to the 3rd floor.

We stayed here for one night while travelling up the east coast. This hotel is not your most modern but the necessities are provided such as hot water and water pressure, comfortable bed. The rooms are of a good size but walls are a bit thin so you hear your neighbours chatting. Dinner was a bit pricey for the standard...

After reminding ourselves this is a very small town and not exactly a destination, we rethought our initial opinion of the hotel. There is no escaping the building is old (not historic) and tired but everything works OK. We booked an ocean view room - the room is on the top floor with a view north along the coast and...

Great view of the lake and ocean from our room, but:- * the door to the patio had no runners and could only be opened with much effort. *the bedspread had a large tear and stains. *the TV was an old 20" analogue with orange people. * no aircon but ocean breeze. * Hotel had a spit roast dinner on...

A comfortable room to stay in although I have stayed in much better. Bed, desk, chair, table with two chairs, no aircon and no wifi! Apparently NBN will be available around April2017. Nice meals and a big dinning room. Overall an average stay.

Booked in via Booking.com all reviews and photos looked good. Drove from Stanley to Scamander only to be greeted by a unclean room, bed not made, dirty coffee cup on coffee table and no clean towels Checked out immediately

Hit the restaurant early, food is great but can be slow when they get busy. Rooms and beds comfy and clean. Beware the wicker stools, the tops slide off! Staff very helpful and attentive. Like the idea of fantastic cheap wines in the bottle shop to avoid the restaurant prices Booklovers should pop next door to the post office for...

Booked 3 queen rooms a week before travel via Booking.com. On arrival told only 1 room was booked. But still 4 available, but at a $35 per night higher rate than quoted. Turns out these were the same type of room I booked with Bookings.com. Management were beyong rude and told us we had 2 choices and to argue with...
