Some days ago we stayed overnight at the Fox and Hounds Inn. While there is quite a lot to recommend the place, there is also a lot lacking. On the plus side the staff are very friendly and efficient and while the price is not over the top, it's not possible to say that it is value for money. The...

Staying in the area decided to visit for evening meal. Walked in nearly empty 7.45pm an unwelcome have you booked (the Mith to hype everyone up) no we are passing from the other side of the world - sorry to trouble you! We had no alternative to stay and eat the usual Pub Grub at inflated master chef prices! Another...

A decent little place to lay your head. Was a little worried after reading recent reviews but went to the bar and restaurant for dinner.. I had one of the Best Lamb Racks" I've ever had. The home made soup was delicious too in the freezing cold summer. The staff were friendly and were accomodating, they knew our group of...

Hi Jayde Thank you for your positive comments. We were so pleased you enjoyed your meals and great to hear the staff looked after you. The new owners intend to upgrade all units so improvements will be seen shortly.

My family of five recently stayed at the Fox and Hounds Inn for two nights. The staff were lovely and there is free Wifi but that's about all I can say on a positive note other than that it half the price of nearby Stewart's Bay Lodge. There is a reason for that. The unit was not very clean, there...

I neglected to say I consider the new owners of The Fox and Hounds Inn at Port Arthur are making a big mistake! I believe they have plans to change the name of the Inn to The Blue Diamond! It is a wonderful Tudor Style and the name Fox and Hounds Inn suits perfectly👍

We spent one night in the motel-style section of Fox and Hounds Inn. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view over a lake. There is Wifi, but it was quite weak in our room. We also had dinner in the restaurant, which was quite busy. The food was ok, english-pub style/quality, but the service was pretty bad....

This was an experience like no other. I felt like I was on the set of a Chevy Chase movie. Where do I start. Rooms were musty, decor from the 1970's I am certain throughout and in the kitchen. Dead blow flies in the window sill kitchen. Curtains were crunchie from age and didn't close properly, brown undrinkable water from...

Rooms smelt horrible ... doors didn't lock ... wifi didn't work in the rooms - only up at reception ... This would have been a really nice when it was originally built, but has become extremely tired and dingy. Staff were friendly enough, but don't have much to work with. Won't be returning.

I think carefully before posting negative reviews as I am conscious that people rely on service providers such as this to provide jobs. However, in this case a negative review is all it deserves. Overall, the entire property requires some serious money spent on maintenance to bring it up to an acceptable standard. We are quite comfortable staying in basic...

We booked a table for 7h30 pm and we have been served at 8h45! 1h45 delay for Nuggets, pizza, 1 fish , 1 steak . The food was even not very tasty. The management did offer us 10% discount. The decoration is old fashioned and dark.
