Food was below average and over priced! We were informed that they had no head chef and the second in charge had been experimenting!! For experimenting menus the orices should have been adjusted! We paid $32 for an over cooked steak on one of the nights! Irrespective we were then served a below average meal for the price inclusive of...

Yes, interesting one this. It didn't start well when one of the people having a beer outside the bar had to tell us where the lady was who would check us in. The room was tired, with a cracked sink, noisy fridge, door which didn't quite fit the doorway, and light fitting not fully attached to the wall. The parking...

It is hard to find a poor meal in Tasmania but we found it here. Despite the close proximity to the Historic Sight and great views the meals leave a lot to be desired. For $30+ One would expect a nice medium steak, but alas, over cooked, full of gristle and served with chips that were half raw with a...

The only thing this motor inn has going for it is the proximity to Port Arthur. The views from the dining areas are lovely. It is very run down and although clean the rooms are very small and dated. There was one nice lady in the bistro who was helpful. Breakfast was a joke - there was not direction as...

There are so many reviews for this establishment already that mine alone won't really infuence anybody. However, it became obvious to me that despite the peeling paint and a decor that harks back to another era (late 60/early 70s I'm guessing), this is it's advantage for anyone wanting to stay as close as possible to the Port Arthur Historic Site....

Location is great. Room was clean with a great view and decent price. The bed was old and uncomfortable and the pillows smelled like mould. The staff seemed put out that they had customers. We booked a room with a bath but didn't get it. The manager made it seem like a huge problem to change rooms, so we let...

This is a pleasant enough motel and its main attraction is that you overlook the Historic Site. Only a few rooms have views but there is a large lounge and grassy area where you can take in the views. We had one of the cheaper rooms "out the back" but it was adequate for a short stay and with plenty...

The advantage of this motel over any other is that it's in the actual Port Arthur Historic site so you can literally walk from your room, thru a gate, and you are in the site.As the Port Arthur site is so large and takes at least a full day, perhaps two, to really enjoy it, you can always go back...

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Port Arthur Historic Site, and certainly weren't disappointed there. As others have mentioned, a slightly dated motel at basic prices. We found all the Sunday locals at the tavern there quite friendly, and enjoyed the breakfast value as well as a more expensive (so-so) dinner. We stayed two nights- but were...

Location wise, it's adjacent to Port Arthur Historic Site. If you get tickets to the site, you can take a short cut from the back gate of the motor inn. Still got to change your tic at the ticket counter in the site. Room's simple and basic. Nothing to wow but nothing much to pick on either. There is no...
