A totally hidden gem, and this was an unplanned stop over for us. The two bedroom unit is perfect for a night (or two) for a family. Sleeping 5 comfortably the unit is VERY well priced, and included milk (2lt of real milk, not motel stuff), 2lt of juice and bacon and eggs, with a mini loaf of bread to...

What a hidden gem, behind the laundromat on the main street is this comfortable and spacious 2 double bedroom cottage with a full kitchen, fully stocked with bacon, eggs, bread, cereals, tea, coffee and milk. One of the best places we stayed on our trip and the price was great too. Wished we had stayed a bit longer.

Don't get this place mixed up with the Jenny Wren. The Jenny Wren is a beautifully restored stone cottage at the opposite end of town close to the Callington Mill (in fact you can see the Mill from the backyard of the Jenny Wren). I have stayed at the Jenny Wren and believe me, it's a totally different kind of...

Very clean and bright unit behind the laundromat in the Main Street of Oatlands. Was a perfect stopover for us to relax, do the washing and cook a meal. Has all mod cons including reverse cycle air con, lovely beds etc. Well worth the stop, thank you to the owner.

What a wonderful experience. The Jenny Wren is a two bedroom cottage that, after renovation, retains the historic look of an early cottage. However, all mod/cons are installed. The renovators did a wonderful job of recreating an "old" cottage. For example the TV is not visible (unless you open the cabinet door); the refrigerator is carefully hidden in the kitchen...

We pre-booked thru bookings.com, but our experience was so bad we reported to TQA. However there was prompt correspondence from manager to say that things have been corrected. The problems stems from owner being located in Hobart and was unaware of deterioration of such a nice property due to current caretaker named Kate who (in our opinion) is too elderly...

We stayed upstairs in the pink room. Very comfortable bed & an excellent night's sleep, easy place to stay. Great breakfast. Oatlands is an interesting, attractive town; the mill is worth looking at, Casaveen also good.

We stayed for 1 night on our way back to the Spirit of Tasmania. The unit is very comfortable with everything you need supplied, including the fresh breakfast provisions. We would love to stay again but in warmer weather :)

Today during the fires in Tasmania, my sister and her family were unlucky enough to be avaccuated from their hotel. They were unable to find any accmodation for her and her family anywhere in Hobart. Even though she is in the middle of refurbishment Jenny the wonderful owner of this property took them in for shelter for the night. With...
