As weary travellers we had a welcoming and friendly introduction from the hostess. There is plenty of space for relaxation - you are not confined to a bedroom as the lounge and sunroom are available for guests - not to mention a large garden for warmer days. We took great delight in getting to know the hosts Nigel and Liz...

My 14 year old son and I stayed here for a few nights in April. We loved the place and found the hosts very friendly and helpful. The house was gorgeous and the beds comfortable. Delicious breakfast too with homemade jam and bread. Great location in a picturesque town. Will definitely be back!

Explorers Lodge was a happy surprise. We spent 3 nights and the service of Liz and Nigel is outstanding. They take the time to ensure each guest's needs are catered for. Our room was small but quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful - everything is local and fresh. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Truly a home away from home. Very comfortable accommodation with warm and friendly hosts. From the moment we arrived we were we were made to feel welcome by Liz and Nigel. The breakfast was excellent and set in a beautiful light filled room. This was by far the best accommodation we experienced in our eight days travelling throughout Tasmania.

Liz and Nigel were very welcoming hosts. The rooms were spacious and well presented and the lodge and gardens were stunning. The breakfast was a treat with beautiful fresh baked bread with enough food to keep our 15yr old boy very happy. Great value for money. Wish we had had the time to stay longer.
