We booked through Agoda, not a service I ever intend to use again. We had to cancel the first night and although Agoda promise free cancellation if 48 hours notice is given, in practice it is rarely possible to get hold of them when travelling and our host was unable to contact them for us. I have since seen in...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights shortly after New Year's Eve. The guesthouse had been recommended by a friend who had stayed here a couple of years earlier. Positives: friendly hosts, clean rooms, quiet and peaceful location, beautiful garden with a resident Platypus! (we were lucky enough to see him for about half an hour at the...

We had a three night stay and very much enjoyed the olde worlde atmosphere of the guesthouse. The breakfast in the cafe was very good and we saw the platypus in the creek which was a huge bonus. We found the room quite charming, the bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and the linen looked fine to us....

Previous reviews on this site give no indication of the deterioration this property has experienced. Rooms are tired, linen shabby and current proprietors lack understanding of customer service. Website promised more than what was delivered.

Stayed for a couple of days here. A delightful establishment. Historic, comfy, friendly, comfortable and the food is superb. Unusual breakfast choices and excellent evening menu. Also has a nice wee gift shop. Well worth a visit if you ate in the area.

What a huge reflief this was. After days of travelling through the rest of overrated Tasmania, we "discovered" Mole Creek and its beautiful guest house. Nowhere else in Tassie came close to matching the quality of lodgings, food or service. We ate in for both dinner & breakfast and were thrilled to find Lonely Planet's recommendation to be correct. If...

Our two day stay at Mole Creek Guest House was fantastic! We booked three rooms and all were gorgeous. The decor was stylish and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are all upstairs and are entered from a very impressive hallway. There is also a lovely sitting room for guests to enjoy - with TV, games and coffee making...

This is a good spot to stay in this area with comfortable rooms and excellent hosts. Make sure you eat at their restaurant downstairs because the food is really outstanding. The rooms are upstairs and spacious enough with ensuite bathrooms. Mobile phone coverage worked, though it is borderline (it's a holiday). A good choice in an attractive area.

We stayed 2 nights as a stopover en route to Cradle Mountain and to visit the caves. The guest house was even nicer than we anticipated and Paul, Laurie and the staff were extremely warm and friendly. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices and the espresso drinks were perfect. We would come back in a heartbeat and hope to...

Great place a for lunch or dinner. Very clean, the best place in Mole Creek ( that doesn't say much because there are approx 4 eating places in Mole Creek) - but its open for dinner and that's more than 2 of the competition. Food is good, Price OK, service very good.
