After a disappointing stay at a "big city" caravan park the previous night we decided to move to Longford Riverside caravan park the next night...we were greeted with an instant feeling of peace and tranquility upon arrival at this beautiful caravan park...just had to stay more than one night. The owners were just lovely, and made recommendations to great dining...

Decided on spending a night here to be somewhere with a view. Weren't disappointed- we had a large area (unpowered) right on the river with not many people around us. From memory the site cost $30 for the night. Amenities were great - the showers were huge (20c per 3.5 mins hot water) and the camp kitchen very well equipped....

After not being too impressed with the looks of the campervan spot in Launceston, we travelled to Longford for the night. Beautiful view across the river with ducks geese and swans. The amenities were clean and well looked after, showers cost 20c for 3 minutes but were piping hot and had good pressure. Friendly owner and great little town!

Lovely location with spotless amenities. Our site was beside the river with picnic tables and barbecues close by. The owners were very helpful and pleasant. Close to an excellent bakery and shopping centre.

Magnificent site in perfectly maintained condition with well manicured grounds. Hard to believe about a month ago they were flooded! All back up and running again in perfect order. Hot, hot showers: 3.5 minutes for 20 cents. Delightful couple running the show. Thoroughly recommend, but don't tell anyone so it doesn't become too popular!

This was a beautiful place to park our motorhome for 2 nights. It was no trouble at all for the owners to find us extra blankets when we realised the ones in the van were not going to do it! The amenities were clean and functional. The view was spectacular. We loved sitting outside in the evening, watching the river...

Nice little caravan park. Owners were lovely. Showers were nice and clean just had to put 20c in to keep them going. Sites were clean and we arrived quite late but they didn't mind. Owner was letting people in and out of park. Really nice place to stay.

We find this to be one of our favourite caravan parks in Tasmania. It is a great base to explore from, with Launceston through to Deloraine and even further all within an easy drive. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are clean and well maintained. The showers cost 20 cents per 3 mins I think, so we keep a coin...

A really lovely, spacious park. The Mcquarie River meanders to the side adding more attraction. The amenities are very clean and well looked after, the park itself is tidy and free of litter and again, well looked after. We have really enjoyed staying here.

My wife and I are not big caravan park people but this was a great place, very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. This park is bordered by a beautiful river and it is rumoured there may be trout in it.... I didn't see any
