Given the breathtaking location of Freycinet Lodge, you would think that the RACT would endeavour to manage and use Freycinet Lodge as the pinnacle of Tasmanian accomodation. They do not... We stayed here for a family members' wedding, and what luck she had the foresight to hire seperate event organisers because the management and staff of the Lodge were beyond...

We stayed in theSpa Suite room which had been the best accommodation so far on our trip. Room was clean, cozy with plenty of space to stretch out. Delicious full breakfast offered an array of choices for every palate. Set inside the Freycinet National forest, trails were a few minutes away. Overall a very good experience.

This part of Australia is gorgeous! The Lodge itself has a lot going for it. It is such a picturesque location, the beach near the Lodge is relaxing and full of views and the Lodge itself is pretty good. I did have a few criticisms BUT it wouldn't change my opinion to stay here or not. The main building itself...

The walks around Freycinet and the boat rides are all excellent, but the Lodge needs a makeover to keep up with its emerging competitors in the area. Rooms need some basic maintenance and some interiors revamped to create some warmth. Having black gunge come out of the spa pipes when started doesn't make for a pleasant experience, especially after you've...

Our expectations were high and we were bitterly disappointed by our experience here. This is in an outstanding location, but there was no view at all from our lodge. The lodge itself provided comfortable beds and a decent bathroom. The so called kitchen wasn't very clean, was poorly equipped and in need of renovation. There was a lot of dust...

We recently visited the lodge for a wedding in our family and I genuinely thought they were embarrassment to Tasmanian tourism. I would certainly not recommend staying there. The cabins are overpriced, very dated and poorly equipped. We had very limited and old crockery and cutlery and insufficient washing up liquid and cloths (none of the cleaning products were environmentally...

Stayed here for 2 nights as a family. For $450 per night (for a standard room), it was a joke. Amazing location, but the manage mint of the lodge is such a let down. There is no attention to visitor needs...cabins are tired (but ok), it's more the poor quality of service. Empty cigarette packet in top drawer of bedside...

This place had been on my bucket list for a long time, as the photos on the website and all other advertisements make it look amazing, and when we walked down the stairs to the outside balcony on the sunny day we arrived, it really was spectacular. We ordered lunch at the bar (pork belly, burger, antipasto plate) which was...

Firstly this hotel is in a beautiful location, so that gives it a big edge and by and large the staff are friendly and helpful. However it could do a lot better:- Our room and that of quite a few others was not ready on time, lots of people hanging around in reception waiting. One couple complained and received a...
