Lured by recent advertising our Group reserved for the Sunday Seafood Buffet. Upon arrival we discovered the provided dining area was fully booked - a good omen. There was a fully laden coach parked outside and obvious that these folk were being catered for in a room off our allocated area. It was soon apparent that we tightly packed in...

This place must once have been special but it's definitely faded. The rooms are small and facilities basic although the views from the front are lovely, across the bay. Water pressure in the bathrooms is poor and there are no shampoos etc provided. There is no air conditioning or fans so if the weather is warm and you want to...

Hi and thank you for your review and 'frank' comments about your stay. I appreciate your comments and assure you that these issues that we can control are being actioned as they become apparent. Fly screens are a mystery, as they were all replaced before Christmas - missed one? The septic problem has been sorted, finding a disconnected grey water...

We had a 2 night stay at Lufra Hotel at Eaglehawk Neck. The motel is very old and dated. Really needs a good coat of paint and new carpets. Don't think it has been updated since it was built, although the bathrooms have been refurbished. the rest of the room was very sad. Also very hard to get a park....

Thank you for your review and your comments on painting and carpets. Certainly on our going forward list. Continental breakfast is by definition a basic breakfast, so I am sorry it did not meet your expectation; variety of toasts, cereals, croissants, muffins, yogurt, juices, coffee and tea is not a bad offering for the $10 charge, which as you say...

Our 2 nights here en route to Port Arthur were very restful with the bonus of the hotels proximity to the Tessellated Pavement (directly opposite) & further history of Eaglehawk Neck & its infamous dog line

Rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable. We had a family suite for a very reasonable rate. Dinner in house was excellent and the dining room has sweeping ocean views. All credit to the lovely staff who certainly went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. We will certainly be...

The modern apartments with the beach view were very good with all modern facilities. However, the main building looks dated, the 'lounge' particularly seedy. The food was ok, if a little Aussie Pub formulaic, but again the dining room looks about 20 years out of date.

Thanks for your comments which highlight the difference between a Hotel built in the 1940's and the contrast of the more modern apartments built in the naughties.

Apartments were clean and very well equipped for self catering. Comfortable furnishings but neede another lounge chair. Beds were comfortable. Very large bathroom but unfortunately shower design means that the water runs out and you need extra towels to mop up. We were warned so we were prepared. Seafood buffet on Sunday is not to be missed as was fantastic....

After a long day driving we made it to Lufra Hotel. Yes they had a room. Dinner in the restaurant with friendly staff and a lovely meal. A nice comfortable bed in a room with a view. Our room has been refurbished and is very nice.

Take the early turn off the highway to discover a fantastic view over Eagle hawk Neck - the bay is pectacular and you can have this view from Lufra while enjoying a well earned drink. For sunset take a walk along the tessalated rocks to the dog line to discover some amazing Australian history. Then its time for a nice...

We have stayed for 1 night in January 2017. The location is very good and a great view from the restaurant. We have booked a budget room as we were not going to spend much time there anyway, the room was very small, but had everything we needed. On the negative side: the bathroom needed a plumber, water was leaking...

Hi there and thank you for your review.... We note your comments re the water, but are a bit mystified as to the suggestion on purchasing water in the Restaurant. All rooms are supplied with complimentary bottled water, and fresh water is certainly supplied in the restaurant, but not at a cost. The hotel operates on fresh rainwater as well...
