We had a "marsupial studio cabin" which was excellent. Overall, this property is very well conceived and a quality experience is delivered in every aspect. First, the layout of the entire property is minimally disruptive to the natural environment, so you feel like you're in the midst of the beautiful national park forest. We appreciated the thoughtful design and provisions...

We had known several people who had stayed here & all had the same thing to say- fabulous! On arrival Brad was friendly & helpful. Our cabin was Buttongrass & so cute & warm. It had everything, full kitchen, cozy lounge with wood burner, comfy bed, large bathroom with bath. we kept the wood burner going 24/7 (as advised) there...

We stayed for one night at Highlander Cottages with another couple during our two week Tasmanian Tour. We stayed in Tallowwood which was great for two couples as it had separate toilet facilities for each room and a door that divided the space for some privacy when needed. The cottage was great with everything needed for self-sufficiency available including a...

We parked our car and walked through what felt like the enchanted forest along the path to our lovely cottage which was really cosy with a fire already blazing. We had a few pademelon visitors at dusk. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals. There is a small shop nearby which has supplies but probably better to come...

We had the pleasure of staying in Snowgum Cottage for two nights! Absolute bliss! As there was so many photos and information, we knew there was a fantastic kitchen. We brought all our own food and alcohol, therefore we didn't need to go out for meals. There was some beautiful wines available for sale in Reception at exceptional prices! The...

We spent 2 wonderful nights in the Lanceolata Cabin. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The lounge and kitchen/dining area had a comfy lounge, coffee table, TV, lovely warm fireplace (with plenty of firestarters, kindling and logs provided and topped up during the stay). There was a great little kitchen with everything you could need and a lovely bench...

As habitués of Canadian wilderness cabins we felt right at home here thanks to the wood interior with its log bed and stack of wood (for the burner) which even smelt deliciously of western red cedar. Highlanders is the first accommodation you come to right after the Cradle Mountain Visitors’ Centre, next to the Devils@Craddle, to which you can walk....

Dear wucie Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a lovely and detailed review of your stay at Highlanders. We are very pleased to hear that the cottage met your needs and was the perfect base for exploring the National Park. To mention a couple of your concerns for future travellers: We do get a lot of good...

This place was clean, comfy, cosy and exactly what we needed for our stay at Cradle Mountain. And the location was ideal. We went there to summit Cradle mountain, but the weather wasn't playing nice. After attempting the summit and braving the weather, coming back to this cabin with the log fire and self-contained facilities, was the perfect alternative. The...

Within walking distance of park visitor center. Spacious, clean cottages with lovely views. Enjoyed bath tub and wood furnace. Staff friendly. Make sure you have a Telstra SIM card because wifi access is very limited.
