This wonderful country pub/ hotel is about 40 km from Swansea, and just up from Lake Leake. A very popular fishing spot so I've heard. We have been coming up to this hotel for about 12 years and we are never disappointed with the wonderful service, the great food and the very comfy rooms. The staff are so friendly and...

Lake Leake Inn is exactly what it sets out to be: a friendly country pub with clean, comfortable rooms, hearty pub-style meals and a genuine, hospitable atmosphere. With a dash of quirky, Tasmanian rural charm, Lake Leake Inn provided us with a great weekend experience .... we've already booked a return visit!

First up, this is a country pub off the beaten track in rural Tasmania. If you're expecting some gourmet, latte-sipping experience in tight black t shirts then you're going to be disappointed. It is what it is and all the better that there still are such authentic places still around. An honest Aussie country pub with locals that are as...

We were after a stop-over before heading further east, and this inn was just perfect. Warm fires, friendly patrons and locals, pool table and an awesome T-Bone steak with mushroom sauce for dinner, sided with some well priced local wine. Exactly what we needed!

Stayed 1 Jan 2016. Hotel is way out of main road and need to drive a long way on totally dark road. We booked for a room on New Year day and full paid online - therefore guarantee the room. On arrival around 9 p.m., we were told that there is no room. The owner tried to get us a...

I deliberately went to Lake Leake to stay at this pub for my wife to experience real country hospitality. It is located in an absolute backwater, but it exhibits a charm that you can only get in such isolated places. The hotel is old and shows it. Whereas an upgrade would help in many areas, an upgrade might just destroy...

We found the Lake Leake Inn to be a very friendly and relaxed place to stay. It seems like a popular spot with the locals too. Food is generous. Plenty of beer choices. Comfy and warm bed. Great value. We'll be back one day with the kids to go trout fishing!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lake Leake Inn is an old fashioned inn well over one hundred years old with lots of history about her; in the 1900's the government built an accommodation house at the lake which is now the Inn, we are about 150m back from Lake Leake. We are a good base for fishing or walking holidays as the lake is very good for trout fishing and we also have some lovely walks close by. ... more   less
