The room was just amazing. Huge size room with high ceiling and a majestic mirror. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern with a spa included. The hotel is close to the shops. The only negative (minor one) was due to no air conditioning, the windows had to be opened. We experienced a bit of noise...

Great location, nice modern decor and extremely helpful reception staff but the best part is the bed! Sooo comfy its like sleeping on a cloud! We didnt really think much of Burnie but this hotel was lovely.

I guess lovely small town Burnie does not have much to offer as Ikon Hotel is lauded as the best the town has to offer. Was there on a business trip and stayed there for 4 nights. You have to go through a restaurant / bar to get to the hotel, but great location. Many places to have dinner, breakfast,...

This was my second trip to the Ikon and again was well warranted. Even before checking in, Thalia at the front desk delivered exceptional customer service. On my first trip it was ensuring I had dinner after everything in town closed down to making sure I could arrive ok at night flying in on the last plane. Second time around...

It looks old from the outside but the renovations inside are to be commended. The rooms are bright, clean and spacious. Staff were great. Access and parking were easy. Only fault I could give was that due to the high wind while we were staying the old windows banged in their frame. I actually thought it was going to keep...

We enjoyed our one night stay in Burnie and, in particular, the Ikon Hotel. There was some trepidation as we parked up in the small uninviting car park at the rear of the hotel. We subsequently learned the hotel has it's own secure car park nearby. We really didn't know what to expect as we entered the somewhat ordinary bar/...

Our room was on the second floor- great view from here, of ocean and the CBD. Plenty of space for sitting area and dining . Ikon Hotel has been decorated with flair and fitted out with attention to quality e.g. Villeroy and Boch china. We appreciated having our bags carried upstairs by the owner. While in Burnie,be sure to see...

We stayed in a Large king Delux..large being an under-statement! The room had a separate dining area/kitchen, which has a bar fridge, sink, microwave, toaster & kitchen utensils. The bedroom, which was huge, had ample hanging space & a massive antique mirror leaning against the wall. The only draw back to the whole experience was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable...very...

We recently stayed at Ikon Hotel for one night, and were really happy we booked there! The room was very spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, there was a double shower (what a luxury!), and the room was well equipped. We'd definitely stay there again, if we ever return to Burnie. The restaurant down-stairs also served a really nice...

Both my wife and I were really happy with this hotel. We had a King Suite with a Kitchenette. Very efficient use of the space. Large LCD TV, spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Very close to the waterfront area and about a 15min walk to the Penguin Observation Centre. This hotel is in a heritage listed building. Some of the...
