We didn't stay at the Bronte Park Village however we were just up the road at the Highland Cabins and in need of a decent feed. I ran in to check if they were open for dinner (Monday night in winter so many places we had already been were shut for winter) and was greeted by a roaring fire oh...

We decided to take our children back to Bronte Park where we had visited several decades earlier. Our first impressions were a little questionable, but then we met the new chef and settled in. The staff were very accommodating and the evening meal was one of the best we had experienced in our 3 weeks of travel around Tasmania, high...

If I was only rating the accommodation I'd say it was woeful. Our 'Chalet' was a room that was small and old with inadequate heating. The ensuite was cramped and the room was overpriced. On the plus side it was clean and tidy. What sets this place apart is the bar, the locals and huge fire. The locals are incredibly...

Cant believe this place can be allowed to open. Seriously sad presentation. Had no choice in staying here as all other options were full due to some motorsport event. They obviously knew not to book into here, but with no other options, we should have slept in our car.

Rooms and not clean: linen and towels smelled as used, carpets looked old and dusty. The breakfast was very expensive, for just toasts and soluble coffee. Is not worth the money it costs. The employees very friendly people.

Chalet room 4 price was ok clean comfy bed. Sadly meals were terrible & overpriced. Tranquil overnighter. Friendly new owners that still seem to be finding their feet. Would suit cosy atmosphere in winter with a good book.

The managers did say they had been there for four weeks. This place was not value for money. The accommodation was warm once you lit the fire. No kindle was supplied but we found plenty of twigs in the paddocks and got a fire going. Take food, the meals we purchased were mediocre at best. Hopefully new management will employ...

To enjoy the Tasmanian "Outback" you should visit this Place. The nature is Close around this hotel. Be nor suprised to meet a Possum outside your hotel door in the evening, or wallbys hopping around your car. In the area is also nice flyfishing possibility. Ther might be a problem to hire a rod though. But ask at the hotel....
