Thanks Christine for a welcoming stay for our party of 8. Nothing was too much trouble. You picked us up at the camping ground after our hike and provided us with dinner, breakfast and lunch package. Great BBQ facilities. Cosy cabins, well equipped with wood stove fires, lovely verandahs and views.👍

Stayed two nights at Melaleuca Chalets with the family. We stayed in the Cypress Chalet. The views were amazing. Christine and Rebecca were excellent hosts. They even told us to help ourselves to the field mushrooms growing on the way in. They were delicious. Wild highly recommend staying here if you are heading to the caves. Great food at the...

We live in Sydney and came up here for the weekend and stayed in the Winterwood cabin. It was clean and spacious with a beautiful view down the valley. My only criticism of the cabin is the king size mattress is too firm and left me achey. We had a wood fire burning that made the cabin toasty and cozy....

Thank you for your kind review and I have taken on board that you prefer a softer mattress. I shall arrange the purchase of a mattress topper for that chalet and have made a note in our records that when you next stay we offer you a softer mattress. Christine Cameron-Johns

This is an amazing place; from the warmth of the greeting from Rebecca & Christine (the onsite managers) at check in to the degree of comfort & (dare I say) luxury of the individual cabins, this place has it all!! And did I mention the mobs of kangaroos/wallabies that regularly sweep by your cabin balcony as you drink in the...

I thought a bit of luxury in the middle of hiking the six foot track sounded like chrome steel edging on an old oak table so I ran with the idea. We were supposed to hike for two days and get picked up at Black Range campsite in the afternoon then dropped back the next morning to finish the hike....

It was absolutely no problem - thank you for staying with us and hopefully you can have another crack at the 6ft track and stay with us again. Thank you for your feedback.

We had an amazing weekend having booked all eight of the chalets as accommodation for a family wedding nearby. All Beautifully comfortable cabins in a marvellously secluded location amongst the gum trees inhabited by kangaroos and kookaburras. We had an extended family dinner in the communal barbecue area, followed by the post-wedding brunch for over 100 people under the trees....

I stayed in the 3 bedroom Wattle Chalet for 2 nights with family and it was absolutely fantastic. The private courtyard is nicely secluded with trees, has an excellent BBQ, outdoor furniture that seats 8, and the 6 person jacuzzi opens to the courtyard. The jacuzzi is the best one I have been in.The other 5 chalets aren't too close...

We spent 3 nights in the Gumnut chalet, which has the best views of the Duckmaloi valley and is a generously appointed, romantic chalet for two, complete with generous spa bath and king size bed. Exceptional service from management and a spotlessly clean chalet made this an unforgettable experience. The fire was lit for us on arrival and ample supplies...

Good priced getaway in Winter for families. A chalet with a log fire burning 24hrs a day is perfect. Dvd's are available for free at the office. No wifi makes it a great break from technology for all. The oven didn't work - but who needs that on holiday, especially with the lovely bbq and outdoor fire you can use...

Thank you for your review Belinda T - the ovens were decommissioned by the previous owners and we have currently reinstated all but one and this will be done in the next week or so.
