I booked this guest house for 3 nights as my husband and I plus our baby were visiting the blue mountains. I booked it as it had a 8.3 rating on booking.com....not sure who's been rating this but these people obviously don't stay at many guest houses! We arrived and were instantly put off as from the outside it looks... More

Stayed for one night on the 26th October. The guest house advertises the use of a pool. The pool was green with algae! The room was basic and very dirty, although the bedsheets were clean. The whole place was tired, with paint coming off the ceiling and dirt and dust everywhere. Breakfast was a joke. There were four in my... More

We stayed here for one night with 2 couples and were more than disappointed! There were lots of cobwebs all over the place. Carpets look terrible and you could write in the dust. Paint is coming of the wall as well as the blinds looked pretty sad and broken. Windows and doors dont shut properly. The balcony doesnt look very... More

Ok so its a little dated, but that adds to the charm of this 100-year-old guest house , but the essentials are all there, clean beds, plenty of hot water, lovely gardens, fabulous meals, and the best staff you could ask for.we'll be back Bronnie, Tracey, Chris and staff.

Charming 1914 guesthouse, we stayed one night in a standard room with ensuite and really enjoyed it. It is old style, not some glitzy boutique bnb, but it's affordable and we found it charming. Staff were friendly, and it's in a good location just off the highway, a short walk to the pub, the few shops and cafes of Mt... More

We were looking for a last minute romantic night away and booked the spa suite. From the minute we arrived the stay was disappointing. We expected "old world charm", instead, what we got was "run down and dingy". The carpets were worn and threadbare in places, paint was peeling and the furniture looked like it was the original furniture from... More

When I rang to book our stay I was told that changes were happening at the guest house so I wasn't sure how it would all pan out. However I decided to go ahead and book because of the good reviews I had seen on various websites. This was the first night of a weekend away for my partners birthday... More

Needs complete refurbishment - This hotel is not quaint old Australian - i don't think it's been decorated since it was built around early 1900's. Do not be fooled by any good reviews - they can only come from people who sadly live in abject poverty ! See photos - we were meant to stay two nights - cancelled second... More

We stayed here for just one night. The lady who checked us in was very nice. Our room was very basic and the hotel was very charming. I must say at night that I was kept awake by the sounds of freight trains. The hotel needs renovation but has an old charm of it's own. If you want a no... More

It had been a while since we last stayed at the Victoria and Albert and wondered how the old place was fairing. We were pleased to find that little had changed, the old world charm remains in abundance. For such a big place it is easy to find a comfortable corner to spend time reading a book, playing a game...
