Everything was great: The many different caves with guided tours, the old world charm and atmosphere of Caves House, the fine dining in Chisolm's Restaurant in rooms seeping with history. Great wildlife with Rock Wallabies, Water Dragons and a Platypus in The Blue Lake. Visit the world's first Hydro Electricity plant on one of the many walking tracks. The caves...

Hi jacquie251, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Although we do have wi-fi, we understand some of the other points you mentioned, especially that Telstra is the only phone company that services this remote area - a fact over which we have no control. However, I think you will be pleased to learn that work on...

Don't come here expecting royal service and concierge. There's no Wi-Fi, rooms are old fashion, no room service or pool. But this is why you stay here. Being away from technology and learning about this historical building is a must if you are staying in this area. The rooms are old but all the facilities are available. Breakfast is included...

After reading the previous reviews I was quite apprehensive about staying the night but to be honest was pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Although the building and some amenities are old the room was quite comfortable and clean. When we stayed it was quite hot and they offered us a fan which was great. The breakfast...

Our family of 5 (3 older teenagers ) plus 'parentals' had a wonderful time Received a complimentary upgrade from the family bunk room/gatehouse to triple share rooms in the mountain lodge. The history and architecture of caves house is magical - she is showing her age but don't hold that against her. Dinner and breakfast in Chisholms restaurant gave us...

Generally the property is old but the room is well-cleaned. I think that the management should make efforts to clean away the cobwebs at all the windows, this will definitely increase the comfort level of the stay. Mains at the grand dining hall is over-priced.

I checked in with my hubby on Saturday to enjoy an early Valentines Day away from our children. We arrived fairly late and the receptionist was very short and rude, like her shift was coming to an end and she just didn't care. We then stayed in a studio room in the Mountain lodge. There was no aircon, dead flies...

Staying at the Caves House was the worst night of my life. If I could give it minus stars I would. Firstly the service of the front desk staff was appalling. The one girl who checked us in and out was so rude and uncaring, which was quite disappointing because all of the food service staff in the cafe and...

The cave tours were fantastic! The sights were astounding and the guides were knowledgeable and informative. Well worth the price of admission. The food and service at Chisolm's restaurant were great and Jeremiah's bar was a nice place for a quiet drink. We were there at the height of the Australian Summer and the weather was very hot and humid...
