Can only be -conveniently- reached by 40 minutes of water taxi or other small boat from the Puerto Vallarta central pier. Hotel is a collection of individual bungalows (casitas) along a low rocky promontory overlooking Yelapa beach, and it has its own pier for drop-off and pickup. Wonderful, beautiful location *on* the beach of Yelapa, invites to mindless relaxation and...

The selfish part of me doesn't want to brag too much about Yelapa because I don't want it to become too popular, as this would rob it of its isolated beauty, but the good-hearted traveler part of me wants to let people know just how unique this place really is. We've been to Puerto Vallarta twice now and Yelapa is...

This hotel while ideally situated and very easy to get to was a major let down. The bathrooms and beds were not clean. Amongst other things, dead (and plenty of live ones) littered every surface. We stayed in rooms 20-23.

I am the mother of a bride who cannot say enough good things about Luke and Hotel Lagunita. Every detail regarding the wedding was done via email and was perfect as we had only hoped. He went out of his way to accomodate 40 people and not one complaint from any! The food, drinks, and hospitality were incredible. What a...

My wife and I will be heading back the Yelapa this October for our 3rd visit in 3yrs. We are both very well traveled, and have decided to make Hotel Lagunita an annual tradition. We live in Scottsdale, getting to this paradise is short and simple. You cannot beat the privacy this place offers, and the raw nature it brings...

My husband and I were married at Hotel Lagunita in April 2011. We brought 40 friends and family members along and had the most amazing time. Lucas was the best host and wedding coordinator that anyone could ask for. The staff at Lagunita are amazing. They were all so very helpful and handled every request. Everyone that had the opportunity...

This was my fifth year at the Hotel. The Lagunita is located 30-45 minutes by panga south of Puerto Vallarta in a small cove. Across the cove, separated by a wide beach, is the pueblo of Yelapa perched on the hillside. While there are no cars or roads, many sailboats, fishing charters and yachts find anchorage here. The Lagunita is...

As the boat turned into the lagoon, the view of Yelapa immediately captures you. Immediately after arriving at the Hotal Lagunita Pier, hotel staff arrive to greet you and guide you to your room. The rooms were clean, airy and had spectacular views of the lagoon. We stayed for 9 days and each day there was something new to try...

My fiance and I had the most amazing stay at hotel lagunita. Our charming, little palapa was right on the beach. It was very rustic and simple - but really what more do you need in paradise? The staff was wonderful! -so nice and attentive. There were plenty of other places to eat in the village, but we found ourselves...

I am a yoga teacher and brought a group with me to Hotel Lagunita twice now. I highly rec the resort for travelers, couples, groups.
