Ok, so the staff are very pleasant and this is a querky pub that sits on a busy road on the high street. The pub itself has a great atmosphere and the staff are pleasant. Meals are very pricey although evening service is good. There are lovely little lodges in the garden, which I would recommend, however, if like me, you sleep badly, please mention to the hotel before booking. We stayed in a room overlooking the road. Nice enough room to although it needed some paint touch up, but it is above a noisy kitchen, that do oesnt quieten until midnight and traffic starts to build from 5am. I admit that I am a poor sleeper, but the front rooms are very noisy. Be good if they added secondary glazing. Breakfast is good, but service was not great on second day and we had to remind waitress for toast etc. I feel pained to have to be negative, but I am sleep deprived after my two nights and would hate for others to suffer also. If this were mentioned, we would have tried for an alternative room or lovely lodge.

The restaurant and bar was super busy tonight. Expected as it's a bank holiday weekend. Have to say the girls running the show tonight have earnt their wages ten fold. Everyone ran smoothly and service with a smile. They are a credit to this place. Plus the food was as usual fabulous.

We stayed here for the night after a wedding not too far away. We managed to check in early afternoon which was helpful. That's probably where the positives of this review end. The room has no character, and had a bit of a musty smell to it. The toilet made a lot of loud noises and at random times, not just when it was being flushed. The window sill had dust and dead flies on it. We were leaving between 9 and 9.30am on Saturday morning - not a particularly early time I would say, but we couldn't find anyone around to ask what we should do with the key to check out. It was a ghost town. As another review mentioned, the door connecting the accommodation to the pub was locked, so we tried going to the front of the pub and it was also locked up. We could hear someone in the pub when we listened outside the connecting door so we tried knocking several times, no answer. We then tried calling and could hear someone huffing on the other side of the door before eventually answering the phone, to then tell us to just leave the key in the door. Overall an unfriendly, cold experience, which is a real shame as the village and pub itself seem charming at first glance.

We stayed for dinner and the night before our daughter had a sporting event the next day. Though the pub was full, dinner was fine. It was served promptly and was tasty. Our two rooms were fine, clean if feeling in need of a bit of maintenance. Beware the church clock ringing the hours. Part of being in a village, but noisy! Two issues sadly. We had paid for breakfast, but were leaving before it was served. No refund happened. Second was how we had to leave. Access to the rooms is through the pub. This door gets locked, which we weren't informed of. Our only way to leave was via a fire escape across the roof and down a ladder. Not fun with luggage in the rain.

Had a really relaxing stay at The Bell. The food was delicious and we had a very generous breakfast in the morning. The staff were very welcoming on arrival and during the evening meal and breakfast. The room was comfortable and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location in the town square. Great stop off for cycling and tables outside on the village green. No problems here for a quick drink and great crisp choices behind the bar too. Would recommend for drinks, but didn’t eat

I'd driven past The Bell in Tanworth several times on the way home through the lanes. So on a sunny Sunday afternoon it seemed the opportune moment to visit and sample the wares. The pub inside was more modern than it's exterior belies and clearly does a good spread on a Sunday as the tables were busy. We still managed to find somewhere to sit in a quiet corner and enjoy a drink. Certainly a pub we'll be revisiting and hopefully for some food next time.

The manager at the inn was very accommodating and upgraded our room from a Twin to a double. The room was great with a very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities, although the blinds let in a fair amount of light in the morning. The food was excellent, I'd recommend the crab salad, we were asked to bring back the menus ASAP as there was ostensibly a menu shortage. This made us feel a bit pressured to make a decision. The girl behind the bar wasn't that welcoming. There was a lively function on though and it was quite busy My partner and I decided to take a bottle of prossecco up to our room . It came as quite a surprise when a member of staff knocked on the door at around 10:30pm, not once but twice, firstly to ask us what time we planned to have breakfast (we had already let them know this) and secondly, to take payment (armed with a card machine) of said breakfast. We were surprised to learn that it wouldn't be possible for them to take payment in the morning and it was very late to be asking us then. As a couple staying in a hotel we found this very awkward and unfortunate considering we had spent quite a lot of money there that evening. I was also running a bath at the time which, as you can imagine, changed the ambience slightly. It must be said that the veggie cooked breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. It was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. All in all an enjoyable and pleasant stay and one which we would happily repeat, perhaps minus the nighttime visitor...

We visited today for my mom's birthday. We all had a lovely meal however, my partner who ordered a rare steak, pretty much cut into it and straight away noticed it was medium/well. He really politely asked the waitress if it could be replaced as for a £22 steak, you want it done right. It was taken back and returned in a timely fashion which we were appreciative of. However the waiter was more than rude in his commentary, he said" this is our version of a bleu then as the other one was rare". My partner said sorry but it wasn't. The waiter said "I just tried it myself and I'm not going to argue with you". It was just a really unprofessional and unnecessary comment. The waitress who delivered our bill didn't crack a smile either. Abit disappointing.
