We chose this place at random purely because it was within striking distance of Birmingham airport. We knew absolutely nothing about the hotel when we booked and everything we found turned out to be an extremely pleasant surprise. The hotel is tucked away in beautiful grounds, and is excellently presented throughout. We experienced impeccable service throughout our stay, which even extended to the restaurant being opened on Sunday for us as we were the only guests. The food and wine were excellent, and we were made to feel as though we were family friends rather than hotel guests. Our room was generously sized in immaculate condition with a great view over the gardens. We will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well.
My son booked for afternoon tea for my birthday at 3.30. The restaurant was empty, in fact the whole place seemed empty only the two of us in the place, no atmosphere The waiter was polite but no interaction with us, he was setting tables the whole time we were trying to have out tea. He didn’t come back once to ask if everything was okay or if we wanted anything. When the bill came it was £78 yet when I booked it I was told £29.95 each, £33 if you had champagne, when I questioned this he said that was for Prosecco he did however honour the £33. Not impressed at all felt very uneasy there, won’t go again.
Stayed for one night. Had a lovely time with my partner. The staff was polite and the food was amazing. The room we had was very clean and tidy. Food was delicious and the location was too. Can’t wait to stay again already deciding when to book for another stay. Will go for a weekend this time to make the most of it
Such an amazing time with my partner, staff went above and beyond for us! Food was amazing, presentation was excellent, our room was very well maintained and clean. We won’t stay in another hotel again, we have already booked our next two breaks away with this hotel and we can’t wait to go back.
I attended a day time function. Beautiful venue and wonderful friendly and helpful staff. HOWEVER, throughout the day, my sister and I witnessed a “gentleman” storming through the room and being what could only be described as hostile and aggressive I have no doubt whatsoever that this person was the proprietor as we both heard him say “I’ll do what I want at my place, I’m the fu**ing owner!” Despicable bullying behaviour! Will never return to this establishment - please read all reviews.
Having used Nuthurst Grange for both business and socially I can only say as we find. The venue is amazing and the staff are unbelievable. They are attentive, knowledgeable and funny when they interact with you. The food definitely speaks for itself and reflects the hospitality. Whilst I have seen the owner at distance on numerous occasions, we have always found him to be very professional and welcoming. Some of the recent reviews definitely do not reflect reality, certainly one where they seek to call him aggressive. We were at the venue on that occasion and the review does represent the behaviour of others not the owner. We heard the conversation. Perhaps another bad review could be a disgruntled ex employee? That aside, our business and my family enjoy our visits and will continue to use the venue and recommend to clients, friends and of course Trip Advisor…
The worst experience possible when holding a function there. Upon payment the rude and aggressive owner, Paul, demanded £700 extra and repeatedly threatened us with violence should we not pay the new and totally fabricated total balance. He was in and out of our function shouting and swearing and generally causing a scene throughout the entire evening; all whilst clearly intoxicated. He insulted countless amounts of guests including my heavily pregnant friend who was left feeling upset after he approached her out of the blue and made derogatory comments. I have honestly never met anyone so rude and antagonistic before. It’s such a shame as the staff at the venue were lovely and worked so hard but I cannot advise anyone considering hiring this venue strongly enough to run in the other direction. I just wish I had checked trip advisor and seen all of the identical reviews before having our special day ruined.…
We got married at Nuthurst April 2nd 2022. What can I say!? From start to finish our day was absolutely perfect and I cannot put into words how fabulous it was. Magda did an amazing job at helping us plan our day and Mo and his brother were the perfect toast masters, ensuring all ran smoothly and nothing was ever too much. The food at Nuthurst was amazing and all of our guests were over the moon with their meals. All of our guests who stayed the night with us were extremely happy with their stay. I cannot recommend Nuthurst enough, it truly was more perfect than we could ever have imagined. If you’re thinking about getting married here, do it!
Stayed 2 nights here with some friends, had 1 evening meal and 2 breakfasts. Food and service on all occasions was excellent. Great ambience, one feels pampered and we were so well looked after. The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of character, one felt as if we were staying in a friends country house. Highly recommend it.
My wife and I got married in Feb ‘22 and we are so happy with Nuthurst as a venue. From Magda the wedding coordinator, Mo the host for the day and Paul the owner have gone the extra mile. It was an unforgettable day and highly recommended as a wedding venue. We had a small intimate family gathering during the day for a ceremony on site and then an almighty party with extended family and friends.
