The building is very attractive with pretty grounds, and we received a friendly welcome from the staff. That is about all that I can complement about this hotel. The decor is very old fashioned, and our room was dirty. There was dust and cobwebs in the corner, and the shower curtain in the ancient bathroom was mouldy at the bottom....

I am always concerned when a hotel asks for payment up front on arrival. We were staying for a local event and had booked room only in a dog friendly room. The room location was good as we had a door directly on to the garden to the rear of the house which was ideal traveling with two large dogs....

The hotel is situated in large grounds just off the A31 Alton Road - if arriving from Farnham take great care at the junction in the dual carriageway to cross over to the entrance. The hotel is a lovely Arts and Craft building that's been sympathetically extended. It still has lots of character, particularly the paneled bar and the entrance...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a wedding party. The hotel is lovely, the grounds are mainly nice apart from the pond needs some work to tidy it up. We had a large room as travelling with a baby, this was excellent, loads of room for the travel cot and for both of us too. We also...

On arrival the hotel is beautiful.. Long driveway with stunning countryside. The hotel itself is a lovely large country house. Check in was quick and easy and everybody we come in contact with who worked at the hotel was polite and respectful. We didnt spend much time there as we had a wedding down the road, but the rooms were...

Love this hotel. It is just what I expected for a short stay at a country hotel in the south of England. We have a room with a balcony that looks out onto the gardens. It is all peaceful and quiet and charming. Importantly, this is not a five star hotel in a big city so you have to set...

We stayed here for one night when in the area visiting our son at university. It is just outside the town of farnham in beautiful grounds. Really historical building. So if you are looking for modern do not stay here. Decor is old. There are no modern features. Service is good. Staff are polite and very helpful. Our room was...

Stayed for one night , booked on late rooms £89 with breakfast . We stayed in room 4 , clean and tidy , view over garden . If you want to be picky then yes people's comments about pillows and beds are correct , small beds and thin pillows . I would agree this is bed and breakfast standard ....

I stayed here for a week while on a course and was suitably impressed. My room was clean and tidy and was cleaned each day before I returned. The hotel itself is a piece of history and being set back from the road by a significant distance made sure there was no road noise to deal with and ensured a...

We ate in here for an AGM and I don't think I ever want to go back. Fish pie with a very watery sauce, broccoli that was brown, custard that tasted like instant and stewed coffee in thermos pots. Yuk.
