I will keep this short, an excellent hotel with well motivated and well led staff; nothing is too much trouble. Met at the reception with a smile and welcome, fully covid safe and with the minimum of time and fuss we were in our spotless room. No food this time sadly as breakfast last time was outstanding. Leaving was easy and simple. Missed a quick catch up with Sandra who is the shift manager as we had to make tracks - that said, she was just back off a break herself and yet the motivation and professionalism was in abundance, no while the cats away stuff. In short, a good environment in which to park ones head. Its safe, friendly and spotless, thanks again team.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our first time travelling from home during the current pandemic – I had recently visited my local Beefeater and was so impressed with their measures we decided to stay at a Premier Inn – but which one? As this was a trial break we weren’t that bothered about where we went – so picked a PI with a good TA rating – town centre location – free parking – air conditioning -low price with free cancellation – somewhere we hadn’t been before – and as the Leek PI met the criteria we booked and stayed for 3 nights in September 2020…. The ex-Albion Hotel which dates from 1878 provides the frontage to what has become the modern Leek PI – it is well located facing the open space created by the War Memorial and Town Clock – and just across from the start of the High Street which is part pedestrianised – there are the usual mixture of national chains and local shops – of interest is the indoor market and Getliffe’s Yard where our go to restaurant the Leek Bar and Grill is housed along with speciality shops…. Entering the PI you are immediately faced with the new normal – masks on - one way system into and out of reception – staff behind screens – again check-in easily achieved in a friendly and welcoming manner – hand gel everywhere - allocated room 202 – one of the latest designs – with wall mounted decent sized flat-screen TV and new artwork – a/c worked well – bed reasonably comfortable – quiet as it faced the back of the hotel away from the 3 way junction at the front – all requests for more coffee towels ice bucket were met – so no problems – no staff entered the room during our stay…. Ate breakfast in the restaurant which was closed in the evening – timed sittings – again one way system – served yourselves for coffee juice and toast – but everything else was delivered to the table – worked well – still think their pain au chocolat are the best….. All in all the our first pandemic break worked well – for me Premier Inn brand is a known quantity and quality with exceptional customer care and service alongside great value – our next planned break includes a night in a Premier Plus room in Redditch when it should have been South Carolina – much has changed for the worse but not Premier Inn – thank you….

I recently stayed at Premier Inn Leek for several nights as a result of personal circumstances related to covid. From the time I entered the hotel every member of staff went out of their way to support me via a perfect balance of professionalism, compassion and practical concern for the circumstances I was facing. Their kindness was hugely appreciated and really helped during what could have otherwise been a very difficult stay. The facilities are exactly what you would expect in a Premier Inn, the location is central for Leek and the restaurant venue looked great although was not open due to covid. Highly recommended and a huge thank you to the wonderful staff!

Stopped for 2 nights last weekend and had a lovely time. The hotel is clean, bright and modern and has everything you need for a short trip. No issues with the room, although I was very bunged up at night, which I assume must have had something to do with the Air con. The staff are what makes it here. They were all superb. Nothing too much trouble and just got on and sorted things quickly and easily. Breakfast is served to you which is lovely and you can have what you want from the menu. Great staff, all working hard, good to see 👍🏻. Thanks. Leek seemed like a lovely little town as well although I didn’t see much of it.

Met a very well-led and well-motivated team who had customer service to the fore - each member of the staff encountered did the old-fashioned thing and said hello making us feel instantly welcome. That strength was then built upon. Excellent Covid protections in place which was important as we went to pre-arranged house hunting appointments. This level of commitment and enthusiasm is not easily built and is a product of excellent leadership and management. The duty manager, Sandra shone along with her team in this key aspect - we felt instantly welcome and at ease. It was easy to see how motivated the team was as a trainee, Callum, on reception was cool, extremely well mannered and very professional (so good that I tried to recruit him into the army - I am a retired Major!!). He was carefully coached by his Duty Manager in a gentle but teaching environment which he coupled with his instinctive willingness to assist and make people at ease. A good start there and he confirmed his versatility as he was our host at breakfast and he excelled there too. The room was spotless and I was able to thank Lucie from the Housekeeping Team and tell her when I met her in the corridor as I made my usual plea for some extra teabags. Wifi didnt play nice with me but I think thats more to do with my new phone rather than the hotel wifi but the suppliers are the same!! Breakfast was a feast and we had to watch the calories but it was delicious; more in keeping with a hike across the moors rather than house hunting but we didnt refuse. In summary, I put a lot on the atmosphere and team spirit I witness and it was in abundance in this hotel; this translated into the really wilco and helpful approach we encountered for our short stay. Tribute to the evening receptionist on Monday 2nd November as well for her assistance in pointing us toward our treat of fish and chips along with other advice. Sandra, Callum, Lucie and Sian (who was also really helpful at breakfast) and the whole team who I didnt see did very well. I wish them and the hotel all the very best as we go into another month’s lockdown. Thanks.
