Great place with an amazing view! Had our private little outdoor with a hot tub. We spend both our evening having champagne outside in it! Room are efficient size, fantastic shower room, nice decorations. Bed are very comfy. Had ropes to go out to the garden. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. The food was great both days.... We recently held my daughters Wedding Reception at this venue and have to pass on our thanks to the Management and staff for providing a space and service that helped the day to go without a hitch. The venue is set in the most attractive surroundings with The Roaches as a spectacular backdrop for photographs, even when the weather is... More

5* All round,. Room was spacious and clean, not to mention the very powerful shower! Staff - all extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Partner had a yeast allergy and we found the chefs and waiting staff to be absolutely superb when preparing the food. Bar - Great food in the bar, really nice ribs and Morrocan lamb.... More

Stayed here for a two night break. Location was stunning although you almost certainly need a car for getting around. We picked the budget option room wise but it was very good. Clean, well maintained and adequately sized with a nice en suite. Faults would be the bed and pillows which seem nice at first but could be more comfortable... More

My girlfriend bought me this on BuyAGift for Christmas. We decided to use it around her birthday as a sort of double celebration. We were lucky enough to get a garden room with a hot tub and it was perfect. We also got dinner and breakfast and use of the spa, all three were exceptional. It was a great experience... More

My wife and I decided to take a break away at fairly last minute. After a 7 hour journey due to lousy motorway traffic we were delighted to arrive at the HorseShoes which has amazing views on the very edge of the Peak District. The pub attached to the hotel is lovely, staff were great and very hard working and... More

A friend and I had lunch here, mostly because of it's situation; the beautiful garden and amazing views of the Roaches. The service was friendly but professional and we were made to feel very welcome. Sadly the menu was quite limited and not particularly seasonal. Such a shame in this abundant time of the year. We both chose Moroccan lamb... More

Room was lovely, had everything we needed and was clean. We had a Weekend Spa break which has some unusual treatments. Building set in lovely grounds, nice gardens. No phone signal in Hotel at all, only in garden. Very busy place, people in bar for meals, Hen Party in another separate room, a Wedding on in function room - however... More

We stayed overnight in a garden room with a hot tub. The room was on the small side but beautifully furnished. The hot tub was a wonderful addition and we spent the majority of the afternoon in it drinking champagne! The following day we spent in the Spa. The Spa is absolutely beautiful with huge attention to detail. Our day... More

Stayed for one night on secret escape break. Room was nice with hot tub in private garden. Read the other reviews - potentially somebody in the rooms on the floor above could look out if the window and see you - but who would bother? The tub was lovely and warm and there was also a table and chairs in... More
