The best Sunday dinner ever we've been going for the last 6 weeks and now won't go anywhere else 😀 Richard and the team have really turned the grail around with fantastic food and a great atmosphere can't wait for Christmas Day to have our special Christmas dinner at the grail count hotel if you only do one thing before...

Hotel is well located for the Brewery Centre and the centre of town but that's about it. Spent one night here and probably wouldn't return. The staff were friendly enough but were disappointed to find out that this hotel in Burton didn't sell cask ales on tap only in bottles! The rooms were very dated, need decorating desperately. The mattress...

Stayed last night. Breakfast room was locked in morning, meant to open at 7.30 at 8.15 still not a member of staff anywhere. Had to leave with other guests without breakfast. Absolutely appalling service. My hearty recommendation to anyone thinking of staying here is - JUST DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT - go stay in the premier inn

Stayed over night as I was running in an event close by. The pictures of the bedrooms on the internet didn't reflect what we got. Very tired furniture and decor. Friendly guy on reception who appeared to do everything. He joked with us about room 21 being haunted. To my surprise I found that to be true although I didn't...

We stayed in a twin room for 1 night when we went to the Bloodstock Festival. The outside doesn't do it justice, as inside is unusually decorated with the armour, and a real breath of fresh air from the bland hotel style that is now so common place. It's done really well and is also spotlessly clean. Pleasant staff and...

Only called in for a pint. It's more a hotel with bizarre medieval theme rather than a pub. Suits of armour everywhere and shabby styling. One beer garden table in rear car park, Unimpressed and seemed a bit down market. Wouldn't give it a return visit.

The reception was very interesting, although a little cheesy. However, the bedroom we stayed in looked rather tired. The bed was uncomfortable for me, but my friend found his bed to be adequate. The breakfast was served hot. It was very good. Cereals and fruits were also available. For the price, the hotel was reasonable.

The room was average, clean and tidy, but there was no hot water. The hotel is very old and looks tired. I was disappointed that there was no book to read up on the hotel as it is old, so I looked it up in the Internet. What I did read was very interesting. Back in 2008 there was some...
