Such a nice place to stay, Alison was really friendly and welcoming. Lots of small touches that made it homely and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely too. Thank you for having us, would definitely recommend.

Lovely place set in the staffordshire countryside, clean, warm and very welcoming. Perfect location for Alton Towers or to explore further afield. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was served in the breakfast room, which was equally as clean. The breakfast was lovely hot and cooked upon request with a good variety of options

Perfect retreat from Alton Towers. Alison is a very friendly and helpful hostess giving us great advice on where to have an evening meal. Rooms are clean and comfortable with lots of little extra's (home-baked banana bread, delicious) and fresh milk. We had 2 rooms and our children (11 and 16) loved having their own freedom and the tuck shop....

Recently(ish!) returned from our 5th visit to The Warren and we’re running out of superlatives to describe just how good it is. Once again Alison, Jon and family made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless as usual and regularly stocked with fresh milk, water, coffee/tea, treats for the kids and the most amazing banana cake!! Outside the room...

Exceptional level of care Alison really enjoys having visitors in her home. And that makes this a unique guest house. It’s all those little extra touches that make for a great stay. It’s just like visiting close friends. The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable. Our room had a fridge, which is extremely unusual in the UK, also it’s...

“One tip for the evenings pre-book for the local restaurant unless you want to travel further afield”

“The family room is great, with a separate room off the master bedroom with bunk beds for the kids. Great to give the grown ups a bit of peace and quiet while the kids sleep in their own space. There's a sofa and TV/DVD in the main room. This room also has it's own entrance. Home from home for families.”
