Reading the reviews for this Motel I was nervous before our stay. But on arrival was pleasantly surprised, Yes the rooms do need a little updated in decor department and for what we wanted it was perfect. Three pubs in walking distance, but I would recommend The Bulls Head. Alton Towers is a five minute drive which was the reason... More

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Alton Towers, myself my husband, son aged 21 and daughter aged 18. When we arrived it looked very nice, but as other reviewers have stated the décor is badly in need of updating, but we do not go to places to look at the décor, all we require is a clean and... Upon arrival we were shown down to the garage which had been split into 2 bedrooms. The place was stinking of damp. The bathroom sink was leaking and there was skid marks on the bathroom towels. Once in the bed you could feel the damp on the sheets and you could hear every move the guest made next door. We... More

When we arrived we immediately had reservations - it looked old, shabby and run down - the images on their website were clearly taken on a good day! Heading inside we were greeted with flock wallpaper and a dark dining room. The rooms were outside chalets which we were told mainly catered for truckers! They were clean but with dated... More

We planned a 2 night stay in Alton to go to Alton Towers with my 2 teenage children. Two rooms were booked at the Alverton motel as the children will not share a bed and whilst on holiday my husband and I like to have our own room. We drove up the drive and had immediate reservations as the place... More

This was one of the best Motels I have stayed in. We had our own cottage which was clean, the decor was dated, but that was no problem. The cottage had 2 floors, with 2 bedrooms, and a total of two double beds and two single beds. The area was lovely, and there was plenty of car parking spaces. The... More

only stayed for one night as we were going to alton towers, which is literally 5 mins away, so perfect if you're going there. The room was ok, clean and tidy if not a little dated (looks like your grandma's) altho in the morning we found there was no hot water for a shower or even a wash, perhaps suggest... More
