Great pub for stopping and having a jar or two, staff are very happy and friendly with all the punters, there's a pool table and dart board for entertainment and a large tv screen and tv that plays old music and sports for you.

Good points: Clean room Free Wifi available (not great coverage though) Friendly staff in pub downstairs Free parking (across the road) Not such good points: Room was Cold but there are several (3) electric heaters to use in room. I would never stay in this place again, and it has put me off ever staying at a pub again. We were shown to our room, the room had cracked glass windows and overlooked the beer garden. The noise was horrendous all evening, with people coming out and making hideous noises clearing there nose and throat, the language was very...

Visited with my wife for 2 nights. Advertised as rooms above a pub which is very true but they are so much more than that. A 15th century building which holds onto its character. The room had everything you could need(en suite a comfortable bed and even the bonus of having tea and coffee supplied). We were both made to...

We booked this place before looking at the reviews!! Then checked them out and got really worried...... Upon arrival we where greeted by a lovely bar maid, the owner of the pub and few locals they where so nice and entertaining. I think people that book to stay here need to remember it's a pub with rooms not a hotel!...

This is the second time we have stayed at this pub whilst visiting friends in the village. Both times the rooms have been clean and tidy, the beds comfortable with the added bonus that all the rooms are en suite. We have found the staff extremely friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Very good value for the...

As we walked into the pub we were greeted by a young man from behind the bar and was immediately asked to pay for the room (i now realise why they take the money upfront) To get to our room we had to walk through a back hallway. There was a bag of dirty bed linen in a corner and...

The pub is basic and no food on offer. Whilst the room was adequate the refrigeration fan for the pub cellar is near by. This roared into life every 30 minutes during the night resulting in no sleep being had. Having paid for 4 nights, 1 was enough. Alternate accommodation found and hopefully a good nights sleep.

First contact was with very friendly staff, the room was exceptional, it obviously recently been decorated with new furniture throughout, far more than I was expecting considering the bargain cost. Food is nice and well priced. Will definitely stop here again.
