I really enjoyed my weekend stay at The Grange Hotel. Excellent hosts who made our group feel so welcome. Friendly staff, delicious home cooked food and attention to detail was outstanding. I couldn’t have faulted our stay. I would definitely visit this hotel again. Thank you.
Well what can one say regarding The Grange Hotel which was the venue for my late wife Jane celebration of her life. We chose this venue when we first visited on walking in we felt straight away a warm welcoming feeling and as soon as we saw the Peacock statue we knew this had to be place as our surname being Peacock. Mike and his staff especially Kelly made this occasion so perfect I could not of asked for more they put there heart and soul into what we asked for which was a pink theme as my late wife loved pink. We had over estimated how many would turn up, but those that did all commented on what a lovely location and venue and what they had done to make this a celebration of life that one will not forget. They felt like they were part of our family they were so attentive in making sure everything went to plan and it certainly did. Once again Mike Kelly and all the staff that was there on Thursday 2nd March thank you for making our day of celebrating Jane’s Life so special and one to remember. So if your looking to celebrate a special occasion then look no further than The Grange you will not be disappointed let’s make sure we keep these lovely hotels going so they can provide the service that your looking for.…
Love this hotel! My room (23) was really nice and spacious. I had a lovely view of Brent Knoll and enjoyed watching the sheep roam about. Mike, Turbo and rest of staff were really friendly and accommodating which made our experience here even better! In fact we’re planning to stay again next month.
I booked this property through booking.com for a night next year and received a confirmation. The following day the hotel messaged me saying they were not taking bookings for next year. After cancelling I checked booking.com and found them still advertising this property for the same dates. HOWEVER! the price had nearly doubled!! Obviously I will not be visiting this property and would advice anyone not to to book as they can't be trusted.
Had a nice room 2 nights In July 2022 At breakfast we noticed a lovely young msn doing out coffee behind bar area He was told off unreasonably we noticed by male owner Did nothing wrong our coffee was lovely Told by another member of staff Tips are withheld from them So did not tip we were going to Felt some bullying going on to certain staff unnecessarily The lad was kept on at While young girls left to chat and do hair in out view
Yes its tired is some parts but I see that as character when compared to modern hotels. The biggest point for us was that dogs allowed in the restaurant. If you know this beforehand then no problem. We didn’t and had breakfast to barking dogs. We really really dislike dogs (it’s a hygiene thing) but booked very last minute. Our problem for not asking. Great staff and breakfasts. Don’t pay a lot, except the dogs and you will be happy. I am a little concerned by the number of 5/5 reviews.... PROS Very close to the M5 and A38. Very clean place with great management. Good value CONS Dogs Very close to the M5 and A38. Both can be seen and heard. Gardens very neglected Only a double bed.
I booked to stay here two nights and unfortunately I didn't take any pictures to show because I didn't think I would be this spiteful to leave negative comments but by far the worst hotel we stayed. If you have small children please do not stay here. I raised a complaint on my first night that my kids room door has no lock and anyone could walk in, also the cupboard door literally fell off. Since I paid for two nights (which was also a rip off through Hotel.com I paid 2 times the amount) I had no choice. But soon as I found out I rang hotel.com and they were very helpful in sorting things out and I wanted ro move to another place so I requested a refund for the night unused due to very good reasons. My kids were too scared to sleep there and I was anxious too. The manager initially agreed ro the refund and I decided to leave next morning. However the manager wasn't around when I went to checkout and the receptionist was very rude when I asked for my refund. Later I received a message saying they declined my request and called me a liar for the door complaint. Please people I swear if I had a video or a photo I would have taken it further. Just do not stay here. Its not worth the money and worst you get called a liar!!! Well you all cheated us so it's on you!!! It's totally unsafe for kids with families and to leave your belongings in a such place. Horrible!!!!!! I lost my money and I really regret my stay.…
Had a great time at the Grange hotel, lovely hospitality there. Such a great location, very clean. Definitely visiting here again. Such a pleasure to find such a gem of hotel. All the facilities you would require. A must for any traveller. Well done
Could not fault the hotel, rooms very clean and spacious, very comfortable beds, lovely people, great breakfast, ideal if you have dogs, even though it is close to the M5, we barely heard it, will definitely be coming back.
This a review on behalf of my grandparents. Thank you so much to the amazing owners who looked after my grandparents for the weekend. All staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was set in a lovely location and the superior sweet was everything that they needed. They look forward to staying again with you soon. Thank you Sally and Mike ☺️
