I love this hotel. We have been coming here for 30 years. Recently it was taken over by new owners and they are making great progress in changing the decor in the rooms and in the main hotel itself. We stayed in a king sized bedded room above the boat sheds. It was a fantastic room overlooking Talyllyn Lake with...

Malcolm the new owner gave us a warm welcome on arrival and the service from him and his team throughout our stay was fantastic. The food in the hotel was a very high standard. The hotel itself is in an amazing location, our lake view room was great and we can't wait to return in the summer.

Me and my girlfriend came to stay on the sunday for one night. We had an amazing deal with booking.com! The views were incredible and super cute especially in the morning for when we woke up as we had front window to the lake. We stayed under the new management who worked hard with their small team to make the hotel warm, welcoming and relaxing. As well as being made to feel at home the food was good and the location is simply stunning! A great place to stay and we look forward to seeing the results of planned refurbishments in the spring. Highly...

Stayed in the 'Heron Suite' in the annexe to the hotel. Fantastic views across the lake & the valley. The food was freshly prepared & presented beautifully. All the staff were friendly & helpful. It is in an ideal location for exploring Mid Wales & only about 10 miles from the coast. My husband is looking forward to returning for...

Four of us (2 couples) on a two night New Year get away. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and will definitely re-visit in the springtime when all the refurbishment has taken place under the new ownership. Lounge and Dining areas were clean and cosy and warm, and the food was excellent. Yes, the rooms are wanting some re-decoration but...

A lovely setting for this well run and friendly hotel. The staff were welcoming. Plenty of room to park the car. The room we had was spacious and easily accommodated the 3 of us comfortably. Breakfast was served in a very nice lounge and was substantial and tasty. The only down sides were the room was a bit 'tired' and...

Located in front of a peaceful lake (owned by the hotel) and there's just something magical about the area. The rooms are a bit out of date, but the owners plan to refurnish the rooms in 2017. The owners are very friendly and they made us feel at ease during our whole stay. The breakfast is as British as it...
