Located in the heart of the stunning Tal-y-llyn valley - one of the most beautiful spots in Wales. With the slopes of Cader Idris virtually rising from the back garden to the north and the less explored Tarren hills to the south, the house also enjoys excellent views across sheep pasture to Tal-y-llyn lake. We welcome you to our warm and comfortable home.

The accommodation was of a high standard. The bed was very comfortable, the cleanliness was good and it was quiet overnight. You can opt in for dinner if required which we did once and the food was of good quality and really tasty. The breakfasts were really nice but I

This was our 3rd visit to Dolffanog Fawr and it will not be our last. Lorraine and Alex are fantastic hosts - the rooms are fab (we have always stayed in Wnion and would recommend), the breakfasts are honestly one of the best breakfasts we have ever had and if you have the

We found Dolffanog Fawr an excellent base for my wife and I to explore the region. They make it look effortless but Alex and Lorraine must work very hard to maintain such a high standard of accommodation. • The hosts were warm and welcoming and their local knowledge helped us

Just returned from a couple of nights. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Lorraine & Alex. Incredible hosts who are knowledgeable about the area including things to do and local walks. Definitely worth having the dinners as Lorraine’s cooking is fab and Alex is a great waitress!!

The food there is one of the best things about the place and I feel sure that a vegan diet could be catered for but better check this with the owners of the B+B - Alex and Lorraine. Regarding limited mobility, this might be a problem as I think all the rooms are upstairs. The attraction of the area is walking, or visiting local towns and villages, the beach and climbing the local mountain, all which may present a problem, not sure about this but again, talk to Alex before you go.

Is there any choice of restaurants / pubs nearby?
Hi, thank you for your enquiry. The closest pub to us would be 1.5 miles, serving basic pub food; there are better restaurants approx. 10 - 15 miles away. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to get in touch. Kind regards Lorraine
