We stayed here for a few days to celebrate New Year! Unfortunately, due to entering Tier 3 during our stay it did limit what we were able to do. As we were no longer allowed to eat in the restaurant, the staff ensured we received the same high quality food to our rooms. Which was left outside for us to collect! During our stay I could not fault any member of the team, especially Tommy & Charlotte who ensured we still got the most out of our stay. We stayed in the Valley Room which is a very new room to the hotel, and is PERFECT! With a double jacuzzi bath and coffee machine it’s just those final touches which finish the room off. Plenty of room; and lots of storage for clothes etc should someone be staying for more than a few days! Food from the restaurant was absolutely amazing every time, and made our experience feel that extra bit more luxury! Once again, a massive thank you to Tommy, Charlotte and the rest of the team, for making our stay perfect despite being let down by the new Covid-19 tier change! Although now closed due to being in Tier 3, I would highly recommend anyone making a visit to this gorgeous hotel once they reopen their doors in 2021!

Our second stay and we treated ourselves to the Valley Suite, the most luxurious accommodation they offer at this hotel. Words cannot describe how stunning this suite is. It's practically brand new, massive, beautifully decorated with an enormous bed, double jacuzzi, 2 sitting areas, 2 TVs, coffee machine, fluffy robes.......need I go on. Every window has a view of rolling hills with trees and birds. If the weather is good there is also a terrace with wooden furniture to enjoy the view or a glass of fizz. Aside from the fabulous room this hotel has a wonderful restaurant with a highly talented young head chef who, produces interesting, local, delicious food. The breakfast menu is also extensive with quality ingredients. To top it all, the staff are amazing, from the management to the waiting staff. They make you feel special from the minute you set foot inside. We can't wait for our next visit. Go on, treat yourself.

We were fortunate enough to have booked this lovely retreat before lockdown. Not knowing the area we chose a spot of luxury to be a base to explore the welsh border. Walks are plentiful and soul restoring - the hotel will advise and supply maps. The area has places of interest within short drives. The hotel itself is charming. Open fire and cream tea on arrival set the tone. This is a small establishment which adds to the sense of home from home. Our room in the main building (an old rectory)was small but the view and comfort made it a good place to relax. A tiny disappointment was the plastic packaged mini biscuit supplied with our hospitality tray - with the excellence of their restaurant we anticipated a little local something however this may have something to do with Covid? Bottled water would also have been welcome. These are suggestions and in no way detract from this lovely place. The food is amazing - of the highest quality. Too plentiful for me, the second night had me reluctantly skipping a starter which is a first! Covid precautions made us feel very safe. Highly recommended- we will return!
