Enjoyed a Sunday roast albeit mid-late afternoon with three others.. Two of us had beef and good portions they were too, two had Lamb- not nearly so good- 3 incy slices each - they must have run out .! Embarrassing to complain being in a group. Attentive and courteous service.

We came here with another couple for a meal one Saturday night. It was packed but the service was great. We had the T-bone steak which was cooked to perfection. The menu was extensive and the wine choice was good too. The food was fantastic and we'll definitely be back.

We booked a couple of nights at the Fleece whilst visiting family and friends and attending a Wedding Party in the area, on arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome from Duncan the manager who showed us up to our room. The room we were allocated was large and cosy with an ample sized ensuite, both bedroom and ensuite... More

Perhaps I was unlucky: the view from my expensive room looked onto a wall a couple of yards away; it felt claustrophobic. However, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the staff were mostly helpful and cheerful. And it's a great location. I only had breakfast in the hotel on the first morning of my weekend break because... More

We visited The Fleece this evening for a Sunday Roast. We chose to share a whole roast chicken and my daughter had roast beef. The chicken was beautiful and moist. The potatoes were crisp as was the Yorkshire pudding. Veg lovely and gravy tasty. It isn't cheap £32 to share the chicken, but it was worth the money. Feeling that... More

Sunday afternoon, the clocks are back and the need for a late lunch again finds our two earnest vegetarians keen to find a restaurant where fish and fowel are available for their friend. Very comfortable seats, a warm welcome and swift attention. Excellent soup of the day, leak, and the vegetarian mains halloumi salad (Warm Superfood Salad of Halloumi, Sweet... More

I had organised a surprise tour around Wychwood brewery for my husband and we stayed here overnight. It is walking distance from the brewery. It is in a lovely setting on the Church Green. Some parking in their car park and 2 hr parking on the road out the front. We had a large room with an enormous comfortable bed... More

We were jetlagged and tired on arriving here for dinner. The staff were all upbeat and friendly, which helped make our evening a lot of fun. Great beer options and some really interesting items on the menu. Without going into detail, all of the food was delicious. Will definitely be back again if we are in the area! Highly recomend!

We have just had dinner at The Fleece, being locals, we try various hostelries but don't us The Fleece that often as the prices are a little higher than normal. I now know why, we had a fab meal, the crab and avocado Mille fleur starter was amazing, Ian had ham hock croquette again to die for. Mains equally as... More

We stayed at The Fleece recently and came away thinking that it was very pricey for what we had. The food was good but nothing very special - a couple of steaks. A bottle of wine that was mid range. All in all for a dinner and B&b it was £240 in what is a pub! One the positive side... More
